Even master difficulty is too easy?

Throw your armour away then.
Still easy :(

I'd need more details before really commenting, but it really depends on what you've been fighting. Early on there are very few things that can't 1-shot you or eat up your entire health bar in a second; I can't imagine you were tanking everything yourself.

Play like me. Level 1 no perks all the way. Master difficulty of course. That Galdur Amulet seems really powerful now.

I'm with some others here. If Master is easy, even without enchanting as OP says, then he's full of it. It shouldn't even be dignified with these replies (including mine), but he's a [censored] liar, and so are people who agree with him. I play on Master and understand it can be easy at times, depending on the enemy or type, but not easy enough to make posts about. It's just outright dishonest.

You know I guess there some advantages to, although starting playing PC games back at the original Doom, being not all that great at them. I would most likely be in awe of you guys who almost never get hit and avoid dying while slowed by ice spikes, chewed by dragons and thrown, flamed to death by mages flanking you and backstepping. drained to death by master vampires when trying anything vaguely like a fair fight etc.

This is all on Adept where I'm challenged but not overwhelmed. I guess there needs to be another layer or two of difficulty for you guys but I'm good.

Master difficulty CAN be too easy, and Novice can be too difficult. It's your playstyle that determines it, not the game developers. They've made a game that you can play at many different levels. If you min/max it and chase after every possible advantage, Master will be a breeze. It's not a strategy game. It's supposed to be fun.

Retype /tgm in your console.

Problem solved.

Seriously though, if you play PC version, go get some mods to increase the difficulty, especially "More Difficult Dragons" it's by far the best thing I ever added. 30 minute epic battles with dragons trying to plan my attacks around cover and healing and hoping they don't catch me in the open makes fighting dragons so much more fun.

If you are playing on console, I got nothing for ya.

Yes it's easy, because the AI isnt any more difficult, all they did is give the enemies more health and make you dish out less damage, this is something everyone on here is fully aware of.

^^This- the AI is as clever as a hunk of meat. Once you have the ins and outs figured out it is simple. Stealth makes it even simpler.
I do wish the AI was better. Kinda gets weird when I go through dungeons and everything is just standing around randomly, not doing anything all day long.

If you are on PC, get Deadly Dragons hardcoe, PISE v81 with the tougher creatures optional file, and War in Skyrim IV: Dark Age mods.

Then play a melee character on master.

It doesn't get easy until you are in your 50's.

Try not to use exploits

It's what I do, except I don't use alchemy either.

It makes the game fun and skills like blocking are actually useful.

...I havent had to approach any battle with a tactical approach....

Having played on Master a lot, this statement in particular is not believable.

Yes, many situations can be easy. but against a boss or high level enemy if you simply rush in, you will be one shot killed. That is my experience. You need to use a tactical approach. With Master some enemies will kill you in one hit if you just rush in and blindly attack. Even with a lot of armor and very high health. I've found that to be a fact.

So the above statement is just not believable to me.

Don't want to seem like a noob here, but I prefer to immerse myself in the role-playing world. Therefore my #1 concern is wnadering Skyrim and gawking at the sights, not trying for the n-th time to kill a horker. Adept level is plenty for me although I don't use companions (they get in my way). When I want a challenge however, I'll go expert and use tactics (1h, shield, light achilles-like movement). However, if you're feeling too perky, try your steel against a draugur deathlord, and say....two or three wights at once, not snowbears. I agree the dragons are ridiculously easy on any level though .

I have no doubts that it can be easy on Master level. I also have no doubts that a lot of people bs on the forums. I don't doubt, either, that some people sit down to the game for the first time, and smith themselves up the top level armour, the top level weapons, and console themselves to victory.

In every case of these types of thread, one of the above apply...the question is, do the people who genuinely experience an 'easy' time on Master difficulty really come onto the forums to tell us that? I doubt that, too.

So far I'm level 15 I'm an assassin type character.
I've only focused on upgrading my theif skills sneak, bow, picklock, speech, steal,
I dual wield daggers or use the bow, I dont use potions or enchant, I use light armor, I have no skills in any other combat tree and the game so far is a challenge. I dont use shields.
I dont use NPC's

Since my guy has very little close combat skill if I dont sneak attack most enemies I'm either in for a tough fight or I die. lol
And I've had fun playing this way. Because If I go up to someone and try to sneak attack and get caught its like OH CCCRRRAAAPPPP!!!! lol.
My characters the 1 hit wonder since he has 30x sneak attack damage, since im wearing Dark Brotherhood gear.

Hah, I just did that fight, well actually more than three wights and a deathlord. It was pretty fun and the light show was awesome! http://youtu.be/z9nX7QRjm7c

Anyone who claims that master difficulty is easy without relying heavily on enchanting is a liar.

That's not entirely true, conjurers can have an easy time on master. You can get two guaranteed items that reduce conjuration costs by 25% each and that's all you really need.

Well if your constantly summoning 2 dremora lords at every battle, then obviously its easy. But that's just exploiting the game, imo.

Dremora lord is not the most powerful conjuration spell, Dead Thrall is. How is using a single skill exploiting by the way? You can cast fireballs over and over to kill an enemy, but no one considers that an exploit :P

I was a bit worried taking on master difficulty after what i had read, but I cant honestly tell the difference between master & expert.

People were saying i would need an NPC with me early on etc.

I was thinking i would need a sneak, archer to get through but i've just ended up dual wielding my way through, in light armour?

I dont enchant or buy potions. I havent used any NPC's.

I have 150 stamina which means i can do 3 back to back dual wield power attacks which finishes off most things upto a snow bear.

I havent had to approach any battle with a tactical approach.

I am now level 25 and have read it gets easier from now on?

Bit disappointed really?

I'm not sure how can it be so different for different people. My last character has mostly the same setup with swords, light armor and one handed, and I don't even hope to kill a bear without having a companion around. It's a guarantied 3 hit kill. Hell, up to level 5 or so, 2 wolves could have killed me if I wouldn't play it smart, as in not hit one wolf, then other for a bit.
Same for archery, people say it's easy and you can, like, one shot kill every single guy out there witjout being noticed. Well I have archery on 40-something, character himself is level 20, and killing necromancers is a pain in the ass, not only do I have to shoot them like 50 times, but I also start pulling my hair out when I get near to their death and they just heal it all back. On top of that, I can't just rush in either, cause their ice spear is a 100% game over for me. So before level 10 I usually avoid dungeons overall if I'm alone.

I should also mention that I do use enchanting and smithing. Without playing it all really smart I'm toast even by the weaker enemies such as bears, so it's either different for us, or you're lying, or something's bugged.

Sorry, its way easy with no enchanting, but since you aren't able to figure it out then I am sure it is impossible.

Retroactive EDIT:

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but sometimes I slip up and respond anyways. My mistake for replying to him.
