Ever restarted because of race looks other insignificant rea

Knowing perk names is one thing, knowing the mechanics behind them and how they work "in the game" is something completely different.
Doesn't matter to me. I had to take persuade and allure, that's just part of the character. The fact that allure is totally useless to me doesn't matter. From one point of view, a wasted perk; from another, an essential facet of the character, without which she wouldn't be who she is.

I restarted after I created my first character, an orc. I restarted because I didn't like how he looked in armor as much as a human character. So after that realization, I created a nord and have been playing as him ever since.

I'm on my umteenth restart, mostly due to finding the best synergy between skills and perks. My character has always been a Khajiit though. I just can't decide on the best skills to complement it, followers tend to be more of a hinderance than helpful (except as a pack mule).

Every time I try and start a race otherthan Nords, I just quit before I reach level 10. It's not really that I hate the other races, it's just that all racist comments from other nords, their weird looks and pretty much everything about them makes you have this wierd alien feeling when you play them.

Nope, haven't yet though I nearly did. Not for looks though, I can change those with console commands pretty easily and I often do so whenever I look at my character and think of something that could use tweaking.

I did almost delete when my Backstab multiplier wasn't working right on my assassin for a Bound Dagger mod I'd installed. I was planning to create him over from scratch because it was an incorrect .esm with that savegame causing the problem, so a new game and profile could've fixed it. Instead, I tried a clean save first and reinstalled which fixed the Backstab multiplier and I didn't have to re-create my character after all.

I may have to restart only if I'm not happy with the way my character was built which happens several times but I play on the PC so I can change the looks of my character on the fly.

I've been through about 20 characters and have not touched the main quest or civil war storyline and its starting to drive me mad. I think I've got my stride finally with my latest Redguard. Level 35 and counting.

I can't imagine starting a new character with over 80 hours of an emotion-filled, epic journey of a man's extraordinary life in Skyrim. Once he reaches total fulfillment and satisfaction with the difference and improvement needed in this land, then I feel safe retiring to a different character with the same goals but different path.

Restarting is an old problem. Dang if I had a nickel for every new character I started in MW ... I'd have a lot of nickels.

I kinda get around this by giving the characters I make now just one or two specific goals. After those goals are met, I start playing someone else.

So far:

Nord Female - did civil war (Stormcloaks) and MQ.
Imperial Male - did civil war (Empire) and Companions.
Khajiit Male - did Thieves guild and completely rebuilt guild.
Orc Male (current) - visit all Orc strongholds and marry an orc. Might add civil war (Empire).

After I'm done with the Orc I'll play a Breton mage who will to the mages guild and bards college.

After that, who knows.

I'm still on my first character, a Stealth Nord Archer & Sneak Assassin. I don't see how I could be any more content with anything else than my Daedric Bow Of The Inferno improved to Flawless using Daedric Arrows. When I feel like sneaking behind for a close kill I switch to dual-wield daggers (Daedric & Blade Of Woe - Both Legendary). Long range . . . check. Close up . . . check.

Oh goodness, yes. Didn't enjoy playing a thief*.

*A sneaky, pacifist, scholar. Yeah, no, the game didn't like that idea, every five minutes was "Hand over your gold" and the only thing I could do was run :/

I tried for a male Dunmer, Bethesda. I really tried. 15, 20, 72 times I drew a deep breath to go again in creating "The Look" and 72 times I failed.

I've gone with every race available. The only character I could stand long enough to complete the main quest with was a female Nord. She's a near perfect mix of beauty and cold determination. Angelina Jolie's tougher more kickass counterpart.

Then she went they way they all do. Skin colour wrong, eye colour choice just off.

Always nearly there, Bethesda.

I hate character creation.

But I do so always love it.

I`m glad others do several characters
I quit my 1st char at level 43 because I was bored with him being a 2h Nord barbarian type. Made another who was an imperial Archer/sword and board type, started playing him yesterday and then today I got the hankering to try being a mage. So I`m currently playing a level 12 mage and finding it a lot more challenging. I think i`m getting attached to the new char, he looks like an Altmer version of Khal Drogo from game of thrones heh.

Who knows what char tomorrow may bring

First: Male Dunmer, Level 23, 2H Axe, wrong perk slotting (ex. none in blocking, LA and HA, Speech, etc.)
Second: Male Breton, Level 6, Dest./Conj. Mage, had potential but I missed playing the melee type.
Third: Male Redguard, Level 9, Mace and Shield, felt weaker and died a lot more than my first character.
Fourth: A redo of my first - soon to try. 2H Axe seems pretty competent and more engaging. Fun to play/plunder with.
