I wonder how Victor reached Vegas without a scratch

its not the same robot each time.

if you kill victor in goodsprings, you still meet him in vegas.

he is a program that can be remotely moved into any securitron, he just enters which ever securitron is closer to you.

when he first approaches you in the strip he is victor, a second after he talks to you, he becomes a regular securitron.

his face and personality then pop up into the securitron next to the Lucky 38

New Vegas shows how NCR is getting there weapons, shows Legion trying to get Energy weapons as well. Enclave don't strike me as people that would want outside help as in go to buy weapons from people. Fallout Two is the first we see them, we know they created Advanced Power Armour and Advanced MKII armour. Yet in FO3 they are making crap "Enclave Armour." I would like that explaned. Why the down grade? Clearly they have the resouces and supplies for thei very large army.

Presumably, the east coast Enclave in FO3 were already there when the Great War hit, not just transported sometime after, but were cut off from the west coast Enclave. After all, look at ED-E. He/it was a special duraframe eyebot, the project for which was cancelled and the resources put towards the Hellfire Armor, then sent over to Navarro, where he/it presumably picked up data to transport back to the east coast before he/it got damage. Or maybe he/it was transporting data to Navarro in the first place. Either way, my point is that the east coast Enclave probably didn't have the schematics and stuff to make the Advanced and Advanced MKII armors.

Why doesn't the pre-war food rot?
It does. Talk to the cook at Sloan and the dialogue suggests no one really eats it.
Why don't light switches work?
Why should they?

Again, no idea whether it's an insult or if it's a compliment. (Damn you first language!)

Anyway, back on thread.

I suppose this could be moved to general series forum if we're not careful, so let's try to keep it Vegas-centric. This thread inspired by some stuff we talked about in the "I miss Behemoths" thread.

This thread is to look at stuff that doesn't make sense or is unexplained within the game universe (no real world realism, please); point them out, explain them, or let us know if the game does explain them while we weren't paying attention. This is just for fun, not to bash developers of F3 or F:NV.

Examples:

Who boards up all those buildings?

Why doesn't the pre-war food rot?

Why are there still sodas in machines?

Why don't light switches work?

You get the idea.

On boarded up buildings.. its actualy explained in the game. People board up unused buiildings to keep animals from nesting there. As people abandone an area the last buildings used stay unboarded up.

On prewar food. This is SCIENCE! basicaly people back when early post apoc films were made they had alot of food around in them. This funny quirk just caught on like giant ants and so on.. Its simply part of the theme much like massive punked out cars ands trucks in mad max like films...

On soda machines.. they actualy explain this in the game.. Just before the war they automated the syetem and its still running so robots are still filling the machines,

I can understand there being Enclave in the area before the Great War but not in large numbers. If they had then again thats even more time for them to take over DC. Also what was left of the Enclave after their butt kicking in FO2 went West. So I figure they would have taken all info needed to build MkII armour and Advanced armour.

wouldn't you need coins to be able to extract a soda from a machine? also, wouldn't the machine need electricity in order to release the drink?

How can a fungus virus re-animate people?

Because the virus is the virus of a false virus that was a virus intended to be a virus of a virus that couldnt be a virus because it was a virus of a virus that couldnt be a virus of that virus in a virus.

Or maybe it's because it's some unknown fungus in the vault

Machines could have a built in fussion battery or there is enough power to keep them running. As for needing coins all you need is the magic touch, Ahhh :tops:
