Fallout New Vegas Graphic

I wish! I think FNV's graphics would be slightly better than Fallout 3. But for a game like this, graphics arn't as important....

the only difference i can see in that video is everything looks alot brighter. I play FO3 on the PC with everything on max settings though. Maybe that video looks impressive to you guys that play it on console.

Are you serious?! There are no mods for console versions of games. Get a decent setup and turn pro...

HAH! If Oblivion and FO3 can have extreme graphics, then so will FO:NV, either by default, or by mods, It will happen so long as someone is willing to do it.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas have perfectly tolerable graphics. They could be improved quite a bit, but they aren't abysmal, and certainly not to the point anyone should not play the game because of them.

As for that video, yuck. Upping the bloom to the nth degree does not equal better graphics. That mod did add some interesting things, but the actual graphics of the game is enhanced only slightly and the extra bloom is there to hide that fact. If Fallout 3 actually looked like that when it was released... god that's a scary thought. Graphics enhancing mods that up the bloom are not true graphics enhancing mods. Look at Morrowind Graphics Extender for a TRUE graphics enhancer.

I think the more realistic graphics become the more restrictions will be placed on games.. You could get away with a lot more in older games because well... it didn't look real. Of course with each generation of graphics I've exclaimed to myself.. "oh wow!.. it looks so real".. So who knows.

Is possible who the Graphic in Fallout New vegas is like in this video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPJwDuxti7k&NR=1

I hope most of them don't make it anywhere near New Vegas- half of what I'm looking at would totally ruin the experience- "on screen reactive graphics"? Did I just see a stereotypical 'smashed window' graphic across the screen? What is that- taken from a mortal combat-style arcade game? Do I have a windshield in front of my face? If A bullet cracked the windshield in front of my face i'm pretty sure 1) the shattered glass wouldn't 'heal' itself after 30 seconds of play and 2) I wouldn't be alive to see it.

Some of the effects, dialed down, could be amusing: the sun effect, some much lesser version of the water effect (you know, if you open your eyes in a pool, things DON'T become squiggly like that), a SLIGHT concussion wave from explosions maybe, but most of these things are usually imperceptible. You generally don't see air molecules bouncing about, but you would see the sand ripple in a wave from the explosion.

Also, an automated voice telling me when VATS is on and off, would sort of ruin the "alone in the wasteland" feeling. The Medical Suit you find in FO3 with a voice is sort of an exception, and doesn't remind you EVERY moment that its there.

Well, its too late not, lets cross fingers. Cheers!

I found the video interesting, but not anything worth crying about to be honest. Alot of the changes are effects to the camera itself, which I never enjoyed even in the default game. The water lensing effects are kinda crazy/off in a big way,

It's too-late for any of this in FNV, the game is finished (by their own words) and is likely close to getting burnt to disc and distributed. Some of this may come in a modded form, but definitely not with the game - thankfully!

That's true, quite frankly I think Fallout New Vegas's graphics look pretty good. The only thing that bugs me is that the building textures, wasteland, and roads are the same as fallout 3. :( Looks like I need to mod agaiiinn..

It's not even close to that, but there will be as much color. I kind of prefer the way it is now. That vid looked almost garrish.

This is not news however, many of the developers and producers have repeatedly said that they optimized things, upgraded bits, fixed some animations and of course have their own color/outdoor themes. Yes the main engine was upgraded, but the texture differences your showing are not engine upgrades - those are changes to the Art and the Setting/color schemes.

So yes upgrades, but nothing on the level of the original post and video (thank goodness). I would much rather try the game Obsidian made before I start proposing changes that are far too-late to put in anyway.

This is how I envision Fallout 4 looking, everything in that video was amazing graphically. (Quite a leap & bound past Fallout 3)

Depending on how far off it will be and what engine would be used, I could see it looking better.

To be honest, technically speaking, I don't see that much difference. I think the textures on the character models are somewhat better, but other than that, the main differences seem to be in terms of design rather than the actual technical quality of the graphics. There will, of course, be new models for weapons, items, and such, but as a whole, it doesn't look like the quality of the models, textures, or the engine have seen any major changes. Minor ones, perhaps, but nothing extremely major.

But we've pretty much known for a long time that the basic graphics engine of New Vegas would be the same as in Fallout 3, and at this point, it would be too late to add the enhancements shown in the video, and in any case, if Obsidian had meant to do things like that with New Vegas, they'd have done so already. However, I'm sure that graphics enhancing mods will be made for New Vegas too, and considering that the engine itself is pretty similar, it might not be too difficult to port such mods from Fallout 3 over to New Vegas, but obviously I can't be sure, we shall see, in any case. In the mean time, I'd say that the videos and screenshots we've so far see of the game pretty much demonstrate the overall quality of the graphics. Now of course, some of the things seen in them could look different in the final release due to the designers having changed them before the game was finished, but as a whole, I don't expect too many surprises in the overall graphics quality.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't impressed by that mod, then again, only 2 mods for Fallout 3 have ever impressed me. But that video in OP comes off as just an obnoxious attempt to over polish the game. I don't understand peoples fickle obsession with 'THE LATEST AND GREATEST' I'm fine with this engine right now because it provides realistic graphics without compromising the story or gameplay. I know someones bound to come in and defend flash and sparkle as 'the way' but I still stand by my view of quality present over sparkly wrapping paper

I cant remember eithers names. But one is this pre-war town, it doesnt look big, but you could tell the user put alot of love into the detail. And the other one was the Operation Acnhorage Snow texture in the wasteland (It basically makes the wasteland a Winter world.) Both look very beautiful.

That was pretty awful. The interactive screen was extremely annoying. Whoever thought of adding that to any game should be shot.

If the game came out looking like this, I would be trying to find a mod to remove all the crap.

Whatever mods they are, a quick visit to Nexus will reveal that neither of them are Anywhere on the list of popular mods - I can't even find a reference (and Nexus has one of the best filing / rating systems available for game modding).

One should not consider this as anything other than a bad dream. If the mods were Viable and Good, they would be extremely popular and/or incoprorated with or made compatible with the true big mods like MMM, FWE, FOOK, WMK, etc IMHO. :)
