Father Elija

It surely would [censored] things up back at the Mojave. It's quite understandable if they cut it.

They couldve done it like the one where your char. Gets locked in the casino and it ends the game.

That video is possible cut content ending.

Its not cut content.

Spoiler
You have to exhaust all conversation with Veronica about Elijah before going to the Abandoned BOS Bunker. That's all I was told. I haven't tried it yet.

And you don't get to play on afterwards, just like the ending where you trap yourself in.

It's pretty obvious the old coot is psychotic. His obsession with technology is insane.

Pretty much this. An example of this that springs to mind is Elijah's notion of controlling people through the bomb collars - he does this to you and the others at the Sierra Madre because he believes this is the only way for the team to overcome greed (half right, without collars I doubt Christine or God/Dog would be really that concerned with the gold, Dean maybe and the Courier, depending on the player).

He extends this idea to his vision of a new nation.

An entire nation kept in check by bomb collars? Clearly psychotic imo.

He's hiding in the villa. I've played the DLC twice and picked up his radio signals (crazy muttering) in two different areas.

No he isn't. He himself said he got trapped in the casino when his earlier team killed each other off.

So where exactly is he when you are in the vault and making your way hrought the lower levels. Because, once he decides to come down he just randomely comes out of that forcefeild which he somehow has control of but yet he cant open it when you sneak away.

You only get to access half a dozen rooms in the huge hotel. I just figured he'd rigged the elevators to not stop on whichever level(s) he was bunked up in.
And he doesn't have access to the vault until
Spoiler
you unlock it with Christine's voice and Vera's pass phrase, and he follows you down. He can't get out again as you trip the failsafe system that can't be overriden

The vending machines could indeed let you rebuild a nation, but you'd have to cart them from the Sierra Madre, through the ghost people and the cloud.

the cloud would be the only problem, the ghost people are not.
Imagen dozenths of brotherhood platoons with power armor, gatling lasers and sentry bots riping trough ghost people like butter and securing a way for the transport of of the vending machines. and as shown in the dlc you can get around the cloud.

That's a valid point, though you would have to figure out how to deactivate the Sierra Madre's loot-stealing security system first.

nobody ever enplanes what kind of security system it is. i think its some kind of robot because holograms cant pick up things.
And the courier is not there at the moment (forgot the word for it) so he could defense him self against it, and brotherhood troop can or if something prevents them from going in they blow it up.

He's being hunted down by the brotherhood, something tells me it wouldnt be smart for him to run over to them and give them tec. Besides, it seems like he could care less about the brotherhood in general now

Well he does care about the BoS. He left to find tech to help them. But the leaders back west figured he might expose things to people that the Brotherhood wouldn't want. So they sent assassins after him one being Christine.

Didn't Christine left the Brotherhood? Wasn't that what Veronica said?
