I was (and still am) listening to bands like Greenday, Offspring, Sum 41, etc. You get the picture.

Gene
Toad the Wet Sprocket
Oasis
Blind Melon
The Breeders
Cranberries
Crowded House (Woodface, Together Alone)

90s were not nearly as fruitful for me as the 80s music-wise.

Yep, that's way up there. But I'm partial foremost to Selected Ambient Works II (I just love that album so much), followed by anologue Bubblebath 5, followed by I Care Because You Do. But hey, even his later stuff (Druqks and Chosen Lords) were alright. He's so diverse in his sound, but most of it is amazing.

Hair bands, New Wave, Progressive :yuck: not for me. I'll take 90's music over that any day.

To be fair, I do remember back in the late 80's and up to about 1991 I enjoyed the likes of The Smiths and The Cure. Once I discovered the likes of The Flaming Lips and Primus... and once Grunge rolled around I dropped Morrissey and The Cure like a rock. Haven't heard them in about 20 years now, however, I still listen to The Flaming Lips and Primus, as well as Pearl jam.

Spin Doctors
Third Eye Blind
Three 6 Mafia

Of course my tastes have dramatically changed over the last decade, but during the 90's those were the type of bands I listened to.

Definitely. I love 90s music but 80s>90s IMO. Seriously, a third of early 90s music got their [censored] from late 80s pixies stuff anyway. Them and Mother Love Bone.

Blink 182
Papa Roach
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Weezer
Guns N Roses
Foo Fighters
U2
Metallica
Oasis

These. Plus Green Day.

I'm disturbed by the extreme lack of Green Day love. Green Day ( for me ) was one of the best things about Punk, and one of the best things of the 90's.

I played the crap out of "Dookie" for months. Only CD of theirs I ever bought though.

i am not sure what qualifies for 90s bands, but i see some somewhat familiar names mentioned so i guess i'll go with Papa Roach and Blink 182. though i never really bought anything from Blink 182, only heard some of their songs, and only once bought Papa Roach's CD(the one with, well, i can't even remember the name of the song that i bought the CD for... "Scars", i think.. *checks YouTube*... yeah, "Scars", as i don't think i can even name any other of the songs on that album and odds are, if i can't, then it was likely none was the reason for the purchase, which leaves "Scars").
