Bah.... If I must choose a location from New Vegas I guess I'd go with NCRCF and Cottonwood Cove.

Jacobstown because it feels very peaceful and the scenery is refreshing. Nice little getaway.

Reno was fun, a nice change of scenery, but I don't see how it was better than The Hub really.
And settlements would also be wrong. (Imo)
Change it to "Inhabited location".

i like either goodsprings or Novac because they are just 2 nice normal areas. they are actual settlements and not a camp or a town destroyed by CL

It's hard to pick a favorite I do like most of them, yes even Nipton because there was sooooo much to scavenge :whistling: But I went with Goodspring, it's a cool little old west town with nice people living there, I chose it mostly because that would be the town I live at, if I were hypothetically thrown into the Mojave wasteland.

I, too, share a love of words which approximately 75% of the human population will not understand.
I find that hard to believe, especially since you consider "pedantic" to be one of those words. (That was condescending by the way, just for future reference. Oops.. and again.)

Anyway.. Freeside for me. It has a bit of a homey feel, in that it might aswell be twinned with the town that I call home.

I didn't see North Vegas Square, though it is really small, It's still good to add.

Goodsprings, well goodsprings source actually, but it's close enough, I've always preferred my characters as out of towners, goodsprings source has plenty of clean water.

I was the same with fallout 3, only venturing into town/cities when needed.

I'd say New Vegas or Freeside (Though honestly, I consider the latter part of the former.) really, New Vegas is the only place I'd actually call a city, and it's a refreshing change of scenery from the barren, uncivilized wasteland. Plus, I have a suite in the Lucky 38 there, and that's really the only default home that has approached satisfying my needs, the Novac motel room just doesn't cut it, added to that, while my original plan was to side with the NCR with my current character, I'm starting to lean more towards Mr. House now.

As to Freeside, I enjoyed some of the quests there. And it's close to the New Vegas Strip, so if it's convenient if you're in the area but want to get away from the bright neon, gambling, and all that. Added to that, it has the only store in the game that specializes in energy weapons, and if I want to buy guns, the Gunrunners are right outside one of the gates. And now that I've gotten on good terms with the locals and the Follower's of the Apocalypse, both parties always make me feel welcome, and the Follower's now offer me a nice discount when trading with them, so I like to sell my items to whatever that woman there is called, if she has enough caps to buy what I want to sell.

I'd also say Jacobstown since it's a super mutant community where the inhabitants are actually sane (Okay, most of them are.) and I like the region where its located, due to feeling quite distinct from the surrounding wasteland, and it was interesting to be able to speak to a character from an earlier Fallout game there, but due to it's somewhat out of the way location and lack of many useful services, I generally only go there if I have business in the area.

Of course, there are a few settlements on that list I haven't visited yet.

I like Goodspring, i make a home there in the gas station. i like the set up there. it is truely a apocalyptic town. not to many lights BUT, Trading Post 188 is also nice set up, the bar is there, the bartender keep drinking and at the same time can talk. lol..... weapon dealer also there, Gun and Runners is in there also. and the location is nice it is in the middle of the map.

but westside is also nicely set up.

I don't like freeside because i have to pass so many Gate that always Hang my console. hahahah.....

Novac is also nice, the first i visit there i thought is a paradise for slave trade. big geko statue, i was nervous. lol.....

I think for the Ideal Town is the Town have everything in there with the uniquely set up, style and design not like Strip in Vegas.

Would definately be Nellis Airforce Base, the Boomers with their isolationism and extreme hostility to "savages" reminds me of another great faction.

I wish you could buy houses in all the places.

But just moving into an abandonned house always works too..
