It's a tie between Goodsprings and Freeside for me.

Goodsprings was just marvellous when you step out the door from Doc Mitchell's house. Very nice old western ghost-town atmosphere, and the music sets the mood perfectly. It looks and feels believable.

Freeside is nice because of its slummy feel and the questing in the area is nice. Again, the audio in this area is very well done and gives it a great atmosphere despite it actually being pretty barren.

The only city up there is New Vegas, and thats hardly a city. Anyways, Jacobstown is my favorite.

Goodsprings - town.
Primm - town.
Nipton (Don't know why you'd like it..) - ruins.
Novac - town.
Boulder City - outpost.
Freeside - district.
Nellis Airforce Base (Not really a city but still..) - settlement.
Red Rock Canyon - village.
Jacobstown - village.
Bitter Springs - refugee camp.
New Vegas - city.

So.... I'm gonna say The Hub and San Francisco.

And Reno blew those two away.

Reno was fun, a nice change of scenery, but I don't see how it was better than The Hub really.
And settlements would also be wrong. (Imo)
Change it to "Inhabited location".

I liked New Reno... but I liked The Hub more.

First off, my CAR never got stolen from The Hub by some mook looking to sell it to Mr. Bishop, only to force me into prostitution to get it back.

Secondly, I liked the Far Go Traders. Always did enjoy working for them, even if they didn't pay very well.

Now, New Reno was a whole different fish.

It was probably more like a Rainbow Trout... or a Large-Mouthed Bass... or... er, sorry. I shouldn't type while I'm hungry.

Anyways, New Reno was pretty awesome. I loved it.

But I'd definitely have to say my favorite EVER is The Hub.

In New Vegas, my favorite place to hang out so far has been Freeside.

I'm currently working on making nearly EVERY building in Freeside an interior. Well, any building that looks like it's still standing.

The slummy feel is awesome, but it needs more places that look like they've been squatted in for the last two hundred years.

I voted for Freeside. Love the look and feel of the place. Plus you're close to the action on the Strip and the area around New Vegas

I voted for Goodsprings - it's independent and well rounded. Novax is cool but is lacking a bar/saloon. I just wish there were more patrons in the Goodspring saloon.

And to anyone who nitpicked about whether these places are cities/settlements, well lets just say you're too pedantic for my taste.

Brotherhood of Steel's Hidden Bunker. I'm not usually a fan of underground settlements, but overall I think it's the best one.

Ah, well... what you call a pedant, I call an enthusiast.

They say we pass judgement most often on those in whom we can see ourselves. Perhaps you, too, have a problem with being a 'perfectionist' for something? Mayhaps you, too, fear that people think you a condescending blowhard... perhaps for using words like pedantic?

No worries, mate. Your secret is safe with me.

I, too, share a love of words which approximately 75% of the human population will not understand.

That's because it's not a settlement. It is a military camp.

If we could choose anywhere with humans, then I'd choose Camp Golf.

I don't fear what people may think, because I try not to say anything I would regret or that I don't truly mean. And I'm very self aware, my eyes are full of sticks.

The main point I was making is that everyone knew what the OP meant. So, why waste time arguing about something we all already know?

Now, suggesting places for him to add to the poll, now that's productive.
