Favorite Place in Skyrim?

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 10:07 am

My favorite city is Solitude as expected but it far exceded my expectations. Beutiful city inside and out and I love that it's built on an arch.

Favorite dungeon (don't hate) is Bleak Falls Barrow just 'cause it's a great way to kick off the game.

Also, I never realized how big Blackreach is and now that I saw a map of it I am absolutely amazed.

Where should I look for this map? I loved Blackreach and would love to see it from a bird's eye view.

I should also add, I'm quite a big fan of Markarth and Morthal.

Mine, probably Eastmarch, nothing seems normal there, and it's even scary during the day, I had the courier come up to me there once, I ran away for a bit before I realized it was him.

Bards leap was a pretty epic fight for me so it sticks out in my mind. I didn't think black reach was the best thing in Skyrim. It's cool but mostly empty. I hope they have another dungeon dlc like the mehrunes razor one was.
I also like the deep woods redout all the way up to the hag at the the end.

With it being 4 square miles it's definitely a large area.

I think I answered a thread like this already, but anyway...

The hot springs in Eastmarch. I love the detail they put into it, it's awesome & totally realistic.
Blackreach is on the list as well, I don't think I've seen all of it yet.
And Bard's Leap Summit, the view is terrific once you clean the place out (does anyone feel bad for the Forsworn? Those guys are awesome, IMO)

Of course, when it comes to views, being able to see Markarth from High Hrothgar... jaw-dropping.

A memorable dungeon I just visited recently, Shadowgreen Cavern. It's like there's a miniature mountain inside, really cool.

My favourite place is Whiterun, I wish there were more quests within it because I just love the NPCs, every one of them is amazing, probably because I'm nostalgic due to it being one of the first places I visited.

To those saying Blackreach....really....really? That place has to be the most depressing location in the game, even Riften is better and I avoid Riften and the areas around it like the plague. There are so many entrances to Blackreach it's like I'm constantly being told to go back by the game, no way, I did everything I needed to do down there and I'm hopefully never going back!

Never been to Blackreach.

Markath took my breath away the first time I explored it.

But I returned to Riverwood for the first time at level 10 yesterday and I was struck by how beautiful and peaceful and still it was.

Solitude. Nobody has said Solitude? It has a "fun" atmosphere in the main street, and the architecture is awesome. It's large size is also a plus.

I love the Ragged Flagon and Shor's Stone. Of course, the view from High Hrothgar is one of the most dutifulness things my PS3 has produced. The College of Winterhold is also a nice little sanctuary in the middle of a war-torn tundra.

Got to be the view from the summit of the Throat of the World at night with the Northern Lights in the sky. It was probably the most jaw dropping view I have ever seen produced in a game.
(Also the fact I was able to retrieve a certain Pickaxe from this location.)
