I don't choose any. I think the penalties outweigh the benefits. Just my opinion.

Built to Destroys benefit heavily outweigh its penalty. -15% weapon health doesnt come anywhere near justifying +3% base crit.

Good Natured is the best, IMO.... way more benefit at the start of the game and it is still useful by the endgame.

I had Trigger discipline on my sniper character and could mow down groups of people with my 12.7mm SMG if they got too close. With fast shot I would probably be reloading the thing every other second.
built to destroy..... I just don't like repairing my gear frequently (FO3....yuck!) and I am VERY accurate with my weapons so killing things usually is no problem what-so-ever.
Small Frame and Four-eyes are pretty darn useful.

I may make a machine-gunner who takes Built to Destroy and Fast shot. Most likely toting a mini-gun.

Built to Destroy. Maintenance drawback is barely noticable and if I see something with +critical chance on it, I get it.
Come to think of it, all my characters in both FO3 and FNV have been crit fiends.

3% crit on a gun that has low crit multiplier = almost not noticeable bonus. At least in my opinion

Small Frame: because I really notice that extra crippling damage, and I like the challenge. :)

For my "one shot, one kill sniper" sniper, small frame and trigger dicipline.

For my goody-two-shoes scientist type, good natured and four eyes.

For my tank type character, fast shot and wild wasteland.

I forgot where I found a labcoat. I sold it with my current character, but ill need it for my nerd

I don't remember exactly how, but you can get a labcoat from the followers. Probably from doing a certain quest or raising your reputation with them.

I am ignoring Wild Wasteland, Because it does'nt act like a real trait.

Can't vote, because you eliminated the only trait I ever take.

There is enough ambivalence in my real life—I don't need it in a game. I'm always willing to take a buff but can't bring myself to accept a nerf.

Even though I've gone through three times I can't discern an equitable trade off. <==>

Where's the option for "None of them"?

I have not and will not use any traits.

I got a FANTASTIC lab coat... cause [censored] that credit stealin' [censored]! No one noticed that dude was gone, because he wasn't doing squat anyway! No hit to morality either, which was surprising. I mean, that was cold blooded what I did there. Then I put that dude on his bed, took his lab coat, and he looks like he napping. Lucky me too, I had bloody mess at that point... he might have been a sleeping pile of entrails...

You don't use a GCSR on 5 "dudes", you use a minigun, reducing the fire rate of the Minigun or Gatling Laser is good (bad in some of you all's opinion), its a waste of bullets/cells.

Where did I mention Minigun or Gatling Laser? I use This Machine/Sniper Rifle/Trail Carbine with Fast Shot......after initial sneak I have about 3 seconds of bullet time to head shot the others......

Again, I never found a weapon that can really benefit from Trigger Discipline (even CZ25 is a stretch ).

Good natured. I tend to only use 1 or 2 weapon skills per playthrough while I use all the other skills often.

The difference between Fast Shot and Trigger Discipline is huge (a 40% gap), especially in VATS. With Trigger Discipline you gain a huge boost to the probability that you hit your target at lower levels of weapon skill. Even in real-time combat, with Fast Shot, I was having trouble hitting targets that were three feet in front of me (10mm SMG in Vault 34).

Good Natured, because I usually specialize in one type of combat skill, and I get boosts in so many other skills.

Have you try iron sight? SMGs are beyond help if you don't use iron sight or aim for the body. Couching/Sneaking helps a lot too.

In Vault 34 my Fast Shot characters can VATS kill Security(es) and proceed relatively unharmed; while my first character without FS and several VATS Perk cannot (with same skill).

I'm a stickler about accuracy. I never shoot unless I aim first :)

I always pick Good Natured as its 25 free skill points and losing 5 points in the other 4 weapon skills that I probably won't use isn't that big of a deal.

Built to Destroy, because money isn't an obstacle in this game, with Raul (companions make the game easy as it is you don't really need the stronger ones) the negative side of the trait is entirely negated and Jury Rigging allows me to repair just about anything with.. just about anything, regardless of item value. Note: I said just about.

I usually take Kamikaze too, because Fast Shot makes sniping svck, and Trigger Discipline makes handguns considerably weaker (as they fire a lot slower). The -2 DT is equal to a stupid combat helm or something, and you'll usually be wearing Boone's beret anyway, so you already cripple yourself -2 DT what's another 2 really going to hurt?

Never really saw a use for the +stat traits as there's no real need to level stats beyond their perk requirements i.e. 6 per 6 luck for better criticals (meaning you'll never really need 7 perception instead of 6)
