Anybody seen the actual transformation for the vamp or knows how it will work.And what's with that dragon diving into this lake(in the trailer).Will we be able to transform into a swarm of bats like we saw in the trailer?..So many questions

They are the true volkihars. And wanted they didnt break the ice when passing through it.. they went through it like a ghost through a wall in the book's description..( i know, it was a dragon breaking the ice) but they definatly seem more like the monsterous volkihar for sure!

I do not think it will be Sovngarde at all. Shor doesn't even allow werewolves in his realm, let alone "blood-svcking parasites." Usually, the dead go to the plane of Aetherius where their souls is recycled and reincarnated and thrown back into Nirn. Occasionally, there have been ingame books which tells that some people can die and wake up in a Daedric Realm depending on their actions. In the accounts of madness books, Sheogorath claimed two souls and pulled them into the Shivering Isles to serve him for eternity.

In the Dawnguard video, it looks gloomy and dark, the opposite of the heavingly Sovngarde. And there is a huge black chapel in this mystery realm and a hellish flaming house we can ride. So it's safe to assume it caters vampires.

Isn't Arkays symbol in Skyrim -on his shrines and things- a sun shape, or is that someone elses...
So, if molag-bal created vampires in order to "annoy" arkay's balance over life and death ... wouldn't things begin to make sense then, the portal is to a molag-bal sort of realm -possibly not coldharbour- and the dawnguard worship arkay.

Maybe that is some TES equivalent for Hell ? Maybe that is another part of Sovengrade which is no for lawful and honourable people ?

I always figured there were different "Hells" in the Elder Scrolls. The main being Mehrune's Deadlands. It it shown that there are torture rooms, pikes, lava and lakes of fire. Of course, there is also Molag Bal's realm where he tortures people and throws them into charnel houses.

The video makes me think the realm is Quagmire (Vaenima's realm).

The gloomy/gothic atmosphere, nighttime setting, ghost horses, nightmarish creatures, all the lightning, etc. Sounds much more like Quagmire than Coldharbor (which is described as "A freezing realm with a burning sky and muddy ground, desolate, barren and filled with suffering"). Also, in Morrowind when you get cured for vampirism, it's revealed that Molag Bal had to get the cure from Vaernima, so I bet the questline will do more to tie the vampires in with her.

Maybe Sovngarde has different levels like hell for different races and creatures?

The more I see it, the more I think the Vampire's castle is the College Of Winterhold in Coldharbour. Would be nice if Winterhold hasn't been destroyed in Coldharbour too.

I think it can be spelled either way, depending on the writer's preference. Kind of like "Day-dra" or "Dee-dra" pronunciations of Daedra.
