How come we don’t see female giants? Or do we and have mistakenly called them mammoths?

That mad me laugh.

It's obvious this is for an upcoming dlc. We have to go find the secret underground cloning chambers and put a stop to the mutants! Ermm I mean giants!

Trolls are male, so are falmer, Dremora and a great many others. In Oblivion Ogres are male and spriggans are always female. In Morrowind Golden saints were only female and in Shivering Ilses male and female. In Oblivion, Dremora were male and female but the females did not have dialouge options and were relitivly indistinguishable from the males. This is a staple for TES. There are usualy mods that put anatomy on creatures but Non exsist yet for female Giants as far as I know. If you have some time you could tinker with blender and get some cool mods out there. I`m sure they would be popular.

Maybe the giants we see are both male and female, they just look the same. The females look like males.

Maybe the hagravens are the female giants.... since there's no male hagravens.

The idea of Hagravens as female giants opens up a whole bunch of new questions

Hagravens are not natural creatures. They are a magical amalgamation of woman and bird and therefore do not have a heritage.

By all accounts there should be female giants roaming the land, but for whatever reason Bethesda didn't actually put any in the game.

I saw a farmer taking his wife to a giant camp as an offering. He painted her with strange markings so the giant would know what she was meant for.

Maybe they don't reproduce at all. According to the Dwemer lore, they were called dwarves by 'the Giants, the Elnohfey of the Velothi mountains'. Maybe these same guys have been around since the dawn age, undiminished by dint of being at the top of the food chain, until a dragon or dragonborn comes along, that is.

Actually Sprigans are nature spirits. The fact that their form resembles a female is coincidental, similar to the flame atronoch.

Daedra do not reproduce sixually so gender is unecessary, in Dremora, Golden Saints or Dark Seducers. By that same token Spriggans are nature spirits they don't need males. There is nothing to indicate the gender of Trolls either.

Giants reproduce with big Nord and Orc women they abduct. The women don't survive the birthing proccess (And often times don't survive the mating), which is why you don't see women at Giant camps. Olfina Gray-Mane better watch out with her "What's the matter? Can't stand the sight of a strong nord woman?", those Giants just might hear it and abduct her.
