The most I've carried around is 150 000 but my lifetime earnings are close to 900 000. I've spent a crapload on high level skill training. It has reached the point where money is worthless and I only pick up jewelry, which is light, since I cant be bothered with rushing to merchants and get the weight off. I even dropped ebony armor for 15 000 - 20 000 the other day.

Training 5 times costs you about 10.000 gold at that level, if you choose to train your highest skill. I'm glad training costs more this time.

If you guys think it's easy to make gold in Skyrim, Daggerfall was much worse (or better?) By the time I was level 30 in Daggerfall I literally had millions of gold pieces. However, in that game houses and ships (yes you could buy your own ships) cost a crapload more than they do in Skyrim.

75000 gold at level 27. I've taken to buying all of the arrows that a vendor has, even when I already have a ridiculous amount, because there's nothing else to do with my phat lewts.

Level 21 and about 35k and nothing to spend it on yet. I'm intending to buy all the houses but only been able to get breezehome in whiterun so far.
Not really having trouble selling everything, whiterun has plenty of vendors and you can always just wait a day if they do all run out.

Damn guys, how are you getting all this money :( I must be broken.

I'm broke too, every time I get monies I spend it on something, be it enchanted weapons to learn its secrets or training to become a better smith so I can improve my weaponry, I'm trying to save up for the

Solitude house which im' unsure about but I think is the most expensive house, every time I reach 5k+ I find a reason to spend at least a few thousand before I go on my next adventure haha, I recently bought

Breeze home with all decorations for a place to stash my keep sakes.

The most money I spend is on training to increase certain skills that I want perks for, but don't get to actually train much in practice. (Restoration, I'm looking at you.)

Yeah, thieves guild quests generally give 3-500 gold and assassinations give upwards of 500g for the dark brotherhood. combine that with other quests, dungeons etc i make a lot of G.
However, I spend a lot of it on potions and spell tomes/training. but I keep over 13k at all times for the most part.

Lol? Try iron daggers with banish enchantments. Dirt cheap petty + dirt cheap dagger = 2k.

1. Go to alchemist and buy ingredients.

2. Use said alchemists table to transfer those ingredients into potions.

3. Sell back to said alchemist.

4. Profit $$$

Interesting. I'm level 1 and I only have 176 gold. Then again, I'm not a thief and earn my gold honestly. I suppose not stealing gives Skyrim that extra "restriction" to keep the game more realistic/immersive, at least for me anyway. :hubbahubba:

I'd have about 34 000 by now (I'm level 27) if I hadn't bought the solitude house for 25 000.

Mid-30's, around 48k gold. Haven't found any of the houses to buy except Whiterun so far.

But that's cool - like I've said in previous threads over the past months, I see a large coin balance as a sign of success. Don't really understand the whole "But I must SPEND IT on something!" impulse that has everyone asking for more gold sinks.

Where the heck are you guys selling? I have yet to find a merchant with more than 700 gold. I just got bored sick of trying to go back to the merchant over and over and over each day, just to sell 1/10th of the loot that I've actually got.

Soo, here I sit at level 21 and I barely have 3k in gold. However, I do have the Breezehome and all her upgrades.

There's lots of vendors in Whiterun - the two Smiths (Warmaiden and the Skyforge), the Drunken Huntsman, the alchemist, the general junk guy, the enchanter in the jarl's palace.... between all of them, there's plenty of places to sell stuff.

I'm level 43 with 90+ hours in and only have 40,000 gold. I do own Breezeholm and the house in Marketh but I spend a good 2,000 - 5,000 on arrows after a couple of dungeons and there are 3 more houses (the most exspensive ones) I need to buy with their upgrades. That's not counting I have to buy smithing materials to outfit my followers and things and skill training costs alot too. So my point is I think there is just enough money to go around if you aren't a loot hog and pick up Everything. I limit myself to picking up stuff that is at MINIMUM 15-20 gold per pound ONLY, and I have the speech perks of investor and merchant.
