An epic story (which Skyrim doenst have),
Epic memorable characters both heros and villans (which skyrim definitly doesnt have),
Memorible towns and settings (yet again skyrim no have x.x)
and epic boss fights/battle systems (skyrim has lame dragons you see in all rpgs with no personality LMAO)
allow me to further break this down..
Lets take ffvii for example (one of the most popular, actaully maybe the most popular console rpg of all time) and compare it with skyrim..
Story: FFVII had an amazing story which captivated millions, who could ever forget raiding in shinra headquarters or falling through the roof of the flowerbed for the first time.. Or the most saddening loss in gaming history in Aerith's death..or fueding with the turks, or sephiroth burining down nibelhiem? Skyrims story was just so dull and could never and will never compare to that.. i noticed most people dont talk about skyrims story on here i'm starting to see why..
Memorable Characters: Cloud to this day is still the most popular protagnist of all time.. tifa is a six icon, and Sephiroth is a badass and the most iconic villian in any rpg ever.. Lets compare this to skyrims characters? ?? um i don't even know what characters to put up against those three that wouldn't seem like a joke.. i guess the villian is a dragon??? um wtf? lol... that must be why none of you talk about the characters of skyrim either..
Lastly lets talk about the towns and settings.. FFVII was brilliant at making each town memorable and distinct who could forget the Gold Saucer (the most colorful gaming area in video game history), or Midgar with the plate structure and the slums underneath? or how bout Icicle Inn (the snowy caverns) or Costa Del Sol (the beach resort).. or how bout rocket town (the rocket going up into space) or Fort Condor(the place with the huge condor ontop of it,) or North Corel (a broken down city filled with tents), Or Wutai (a traditional japanese place)... As you can see FFVII had so many memorbile towns that were completly distinct that everyone wanted to see and explore , the settings and scenary was an absolute masterpiece...
compare that to skyrim where you have a bunch of boring towns that all feel the same (same atmosphere) with a bunch of dull npcs, where you have to spend hours and hours going through the same interior designed shops talking to them to trigger quests.. after about 10 hours of that i had to take my skyrim disc out of the console throw it under my couch and put in my final fantasy games to brush the bad taste out of my mouth..
In conclusion Final fantasy has way less content than skyrim but it has much more meaning.. 90% of skyrims content has no meaning what so ever and is just boring busy work...
I will not be purchasing an elder scrolls game again.. forutnatly ffxiii-2 is coming out in less than a month and I will be able to spend my days playing that..
gooday..
