I hope so, but lemme ask this (everyone); if you could have a game as good and as epic as F2, but with a much less visually impressive engine, say the Fallout Tactics engine, or something along those lines, would you buy it? Or would you stick to smaller, less deep games that are more modern looking and 3d like F3?
If the gameplay is good enough I wouldn't mind lower quality graphics.
I have heard of Age of Decadence, and I think that's what it's aiming at, but will it ever get here (it seems to be a long time), and who knows if it will be very popular.
Age of Decadence will get here, though not in 2010. At the moment it's already playable, but in order to make it as good as promissed it still needs some polishing, http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php/topic,1672.0.html. And while it's true that it has been in development for years, you have to take into acccount that it's being made by 3 people in their spare time.
And in order not to derail this thread I'd like to redirect anyone interested in AoD to their http://www.irontowerstudio.com/ and http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/.
Getting back on topic of this thread: I expect Fallout: New Vegas to be the best Fallout game of the passing decade.
