I hope so, but lemme ask this (everyone); if you could have a game as good and as epic as F2, but with a much less visually impressive engine, say the Fallout Tactics engine, or something along those lines, would you buy it? Or would you stick to smaller, less deep games that are more modern looking and 3d like F3?
I ask because I played F2 and BG 2 recently and thought they were awesome. It didn't bother me at all that they weren't 3D or didn't have great graphics. They're just great games. And it seems logical to assume if a game was 2D, and didn't have as much voice acting in it ect it would take up less room and therefore could be a lot bigger, and that would be great. I'd still like to play a cool 3D game from time to time, but I'd be more than happy with an older looking 2D game if it had the depth and scope of F2 and BG 2.
So what do you guys think? Would you be happy with that as well, do you think we'll ever see games like that again?
I mean, assuming Vegas ends up not being the holy grail that we're all assuming and hoping it will.
I have heard of Age of Decadence, and I think that's what it's aiming at, but will it ever get here (it seems to be a long time), and who knows if it will be very popular.
