I haven't had any major issues, although I do get the occasional 'corpse-in-rock' physics oddity. I've been lucky so far with the quests known to be majorly buggy, although in some cases that's due to knowing how to not trigger the glitch in question in the first place.

My first character couldn't move along in the main quest because of a bug.

I'm over 500 hours. My only CTDs, I think, were attributed to laptop overheating. Skyrim has been amazingly reliable for me.

Have had the minor issues (Dawnstar Jarl quests not clearing, for example), 1 "major" issue the first playthough (Blood on the Ice - couldn't get rid of the amulet and other of the noted issues - a quick glance a UESPWiki, a reload a previous save, and a slightly different playing of the quest solved those issues). I am sure I had the ANR (atomic nirnroot) and junk littering that everyone experiences, but they never actually hindered playing (at the time, this was on the 360). Basically never had any truly game-killing issues. Since switching to PC, most of the minor issue are gone (thank USKP and other mods), I never have a problem with the Blood on the Ice (continue to use my adjusted playstyle from the 1st issue), and the CTDs I have had (only 3 in 2-3 months on the PC) can be attributed to a combination of mods and my "underpowered" game machine (although I upped the machine memory to 8gb and have not had some of fps drops I had before). I frankly had more game-harming issues in FO3, FONV, Oblivion than I have had in Skyrim.

EDIT: and I never modded those games. Strictly vanilla on all of the playthroughs.

I think I've had two glitches before, I reloaded both times and the quests were back to normal. I haven't played anywhere near as long as you though.

I CTD a lot, but that's down to my crappy PC and because I insist on using a tonne of mods.

But I've not seen very many actually real glitches and bugs. Only one I can think of at the moment is a single falling mammoth in the Whiterun plains, ages and ages ago.

My biggest problem, glitch-wise, has been three CTDs. That's fewer glitches than I experienced with Morrowind and Oblivion.

Only bug that stands out for me is respawn timers being stopped if I return before it resets.

glitches are to be expected in TES, i've had a handful of glitches but only 1 really pissed me off...it was my 1st attempt at pure mage, i waited until about level 50 to start doing the college questline, after maxing my destruction skill and nearly maxing conjuration (which is what really angered me) and a bug killed the whole questline. I exited the college to finish the quest I was on, only to find a certain dead body with no one around and no way to fix on xbox. I was so angry i almost snapped my skyrim as i had to restart my mage...i got over my anger and still play skyrim, glitches and all :)

I get the giant smashing you 100 ft in the air glitch quite a lot but it's pretty hilarious in my opinion. Bethesda should leave it in it think.

That's not a glitch. That's an awesome effect.

I made an account over at the Capcom forum to post in the Dragons Dogma section. somehow we got on the subject of Skyrim glitches. I told the poster i never had a glitch. and this is what he said to me.

I've never had a glitch in Skyrim. And i know i'm not the only one who has a great experience playing Skyrim. With over 500 hours played and i think 20 characters or so i have never had a glitch  Who else has never had a glitch?

Bethesda has published pretty buggy games. (Seriously. It's like they release their games half-finished and finish it after they publish it.) But honestly, the bugs aren't that bad; a lot of them can be solved by reloading the game.

This is right. I've heard people say this before. And I have never understood why they believe it's a glitch.

For me, I had major, major issues with Skyrim, mostly when I was playing on PS3. Stuff like Shadowmere never spawning during the Dark Brotherhood questline, being unable to complete the Civil War questline, backwards flying dragons and (of course) the lag. Now that I'm on PC, I haven't had as many issues, but my game still crashes regularly (probably because of instability with all the mods I'm running).
