Forum downtime : Othor Games

The forums are going to be down for a little bit -- probably a day or so while we make some changes.

Once everything is back up, hopefully everything will be working smoothly. If not, "pardon our dust"

Cool. Have any more specific timeliness? As in what hour exactly we can expect it to go down (I realize that after that it's anybody's guess).

Hm, looks like my sources are right. A week ago, I received word from my sources that there would be forum downtime. Know why?

So they could implement their new Hello Kitty forum skin!

Of course, I didn't believe them. But now, I see they were right. :sadvaultboy:

GStaff is your average Community Manager, informing the community of upcoming downtime and going on to his normal life. Little did GStaff know that his post is in... the Twilight Zone

I think that the idea is that, rather than an instant cut-off, certain areas will be disconnected. That way one second you could be posting, and the next you are gone. Eventually only one member will be left, all alone on the forums, then the lights go off.

In the mean time other members will be loading the page every little bit to see if it is back online

But this'll be good, I guess. I'm going through a rather extensive and pain-in-the-ass move from Florida to Kansas. But I will miss working on my current RP. But as I said, good downtime.
