Foxes do lead to ore veins

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:01 am

Foxes do lead you to the interesting place near by. I tried this the other night based on another thread on Foxes. Each time I followed one, it lead me right to something worth investigating, be it a shrine or a cave or vein or a chest or a corpse or whatever. Most of these things were unmarked so those trying to find all the places in the game would be well advices to follow the foxes around.

Exactly. I might try this "foxes-lead-to-gold-ore-veins thing", but it would probably end up like that.

Hmm, do rabbits lead you to farms? :D

No, only death and destruction. They are evil creatures indeed.

A fox does not simply lead you an ore vein.

I don't know about that I watched a fox jump off a cliff one time, it seems more like coincidence.

I follow them because it's for some reason fun to do like playing headbutt the sign in Whiterun.

Fox run in random directions, but normally away from you. They also stop quite often. There are ore veins ALL over skyrim. The probability of a fox taking you relatively close(easy to spot) to an ore vein within a 5 minute span of time is fairly high, really high if you give him 10 minutes and there are no enemies. Now if following them always resulted in a silver or gold ore, and they always walked over the ore then stopped on top of it for exactly 10 seconds then they ran to the next ore vein that would be interesting.

Seeing that if you follow an NPC who says they are going to X, and they normally don't actually end up going there I highly doubt they made the fox go somewhere special.

If you follow mudcrabs you find boredom. If you follow chickens you find eggs. If you follow Mammoths you find Giants. If you follow butterflies you find yourself running off a cliff to your death!
