So heres my story.. Its like something out of a horror flick...

One day me and Boone decided to head for Vault 34 to find the All American weapon. Upon arriving I'm assaulted by geckos but have no trouble at all dispatching them. Quickly realizing the radiation affected me, I donned a radiation suit and some Rad-X. Entering the Vault for real this time I happen upon a dead gecko and a feral ghoul. I dispatch him with my Riot Shotgun and head deeper into the vault. Entering the atrium I see my sneak warning flash to caution and AT LEAST 15+ ghouls roar at once all around me. I'm pretty much already freaked out at this moment and then Boone decides to run off into the dark, leaving me alone. I hear him fighting the ghouls but I can't figure out where he went, a few seconds later "Boone is unconscious" flickered onto the screen. So now I'm really creeped out and I think I finally found where we went. I round the corner and what do I run into? Two ghouls run around and charge at me scaring the crap out of me! I woke Boone up and finally began my trek deeper into the vault... Finally entering the Med lab I look around with my shot gun to see a feral who I quickly fire at. Completely missing I hear the roars of more ghouls and my warning flashes to Danger. I dispatch whatever I can and continue on turning on my light. My warning again flashes to Danger and I turn to the side to see a feral Ghoul about to launch himself at me! I blasted him with my Shotgun, severely unnerved... Long story short I finally made it too the armory and couldn't find the All- American. I read online to check Boone and guess what... He had it...

i had atleast 3 deathclaws 2 deathclaw mothers and 1 alpha death claw chasin me until i turned around an wasted them with my 50 an the one i gave boone =)

be careful after i did that vault dlc glitch.....

Dude, i remember finding a cluster of death claw eggs, right... I take them nonchalantly, thinking "hmm, these shuldnt be unguarded"... Long story short, as i turned around i noticed the Alpha, Mother, 4 regular death claws, and two blind death claws running straight for me... Had to change my pants AND replenish the 1000 bullets i spent killing them....

suprised youd actually survive that to use 1000 bullets lol if one deathclaw sneaks up on me i die

Lol, gun did you have? I use a few shots from a sniper to kill them.

Moments like this are the reason we play the Fallout and Elder Scrolls Series. We dont need some over the top hollywood blockbuster scripted set piece to show you how awesome it is. Its the unscripted and random moments of exploration and anything can happend that brings us back

Ghouls in general scare the filter out of me

Correction. Ghouls in close quarters. The ones who are topside got nothing. They're not particularly fast, they do not dodge behind cover and you get a chance to spot them first.

Feakiest moment so far was i think in vault 22 with the spore people, i had ED-E with me for the enhanced sensor perk thinking i would see the red dot before the actule enemy, what i did'nt know is that the spore people don't show up on radar untill AFTER you alert them, something that would've been nice to know before i stepped on one of the damn things.

hahah yea the first time i came across a spore person I jumped... and maybe even the second time too lol

I was standing on a rock which I thought was safe snipping Deathclaws I thought I had killed them all the ones near me then I hear Boone shooting something below all of sudden hes koed then I turn around and a Deathclaw is lunging for me I was so lucky Boone had weakend it or I would of been mince meat. I would of had to kill the other deathclaws again as I did not save at this point I had no choice bu to use vats to get headshots but it scared the [censored] out of me. I was just thinking how the hell I did not hear it footsteps behind me like I usally do think he was mad because I had killed their mum and dad earlier.

Freakiest moment? When Ultra-Luxe was still new to me I had one every time I was there. I think it can be as scary as being in some "abandoned" deserted vault if you just think a bit...deeper. Has some kind of aura, this odd feeling...it's basically "order" and "chaos" at the same time, this certain "something is wrong" feeling. Funny that a place like this...on the Strip which can be considered one of the safest locations...has this kind of feeling.

That place still fascinates me more than any other area I've found in the desert so far. I really can't think of anything else...then again I still have to discover many areas...many in the underground.

The Spore Carriers and savages were probably the scariest I've encountered throughout the game. Ugly creatures. Very ugly. Lol.

Shooting the rat the kids chase. (you darn kids!) I though affectionately and thought to ruin their fun but instead I see them clamouring the husk of the dead body and eat it right there at the spot gnawing at its entrails.

I approach them and ask them, they reply "Thanks Mister!"


I never laughed so hard at a video game.

I ripped the platic off the game, popped it in, and after the intro and character customization, I grabbed the laser pistol from the gun box and immediately shoot the doctor in the head, watching his corpse turn into a pile of ash! LOL! "EVIL" the only way to play.

All of Vault 11 was scary for me. Especially the end. :cryvaultboy:

Battling rad scorpions.. i hate scorpions so much... worst experience is when i was trying to get on top of this rock and i couldnt get past invisible barrier then i dropped in this group of like 5 giant radscorpions and it was still near the beginning so i didnt have great weapons. and i thought that was all but as i started running away i turned around to find like 5 more of them on me.. there was like 10 on me all giant ones.. they give me goosebumps...

Getting killed by Cazadors early during my 1st playthrough. I'm like thats a big bug he's probably harmless :facepalm: :facepalm: :banghead:

Vault 34 is probably the scariest place I've ever been to in a video game. I went through one corridor or two, then I turned around, exited the vault and fast traveled away.

Never going back there :cryvaultboy:

Yeah way, just bring alot of rad-away, some friends and a good weapon and you should be good as long as you can get out before the radiation kills you.
