Freeside kids chasing pet rats? : Fallout: New Vegas

They kill the rats for the merchant near the entrance to Freeside by the fort.

He is across the street from the guy negotiating with the Kings for an escort.

lol, I just did that for the first time today aswell. Only weird part was when the first child got on his knees to start eating instead of his character stopping at the dead rat....he slide on his knees all the way to the edge fo the map. He then got up and ran the other way.... very weird, all I could think was "guitar slide!" :intergalactic:

That happend to me she went into a building and cannot get out :rolleyes: oh well

I shot the rat with a laser weapon so it was at least cooked pile of whatever when they dug in and ate it.

I just tried my above theory.

They started eating a pile of ashes, and most likely radioactive plasma-goo....

Intresting...

Yeah, I was like "Ooo, gonna be these kids hero." It turns to green goo and they still eat it, I walk away crying.

Same thing happened to me - I thought it was maybe a glitch caused by Cass shooting a thug at the same time

I think it would be funnier if they were chasing some drunk/addict around, I would'ent feel bad then for helping them by shooting it. :gun:

I'm sorry, but this post has been bothering me immensely since I first saw it on this thread yesterday and I can't just let it go without comment any longer - are you seriously suggesting that you would feel less guilt shooting a human drunk or a drug addict than a rat? My husband's profession is to work with addicts to try to get them off booze and drugs (and he often succeeds and helps people have a better life, gets people into rehab, gets them productive jobs etc), and if you really mean what you say here then you really are the lowest of the low, morally many rungs on the ladder lower than a drunk - I just hope that you are not being serious when you post this sort of thing and you meant it as a throwaway comment without putting too much thought into it
