Freeside Thugs

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:30 am

I have that exact problem at the moment like 20, or 30 dead bodies littering the streets. I just hope they disappear eventually otherwise I will have to pull out my disable command lol But I do love whipping out my Sniper Rifle using armor piercing rounds, and blowing those morons heads off, and sometimes I just use my spiked knuckles, and give them a Chuck Norris beating. Don't [censored] with Chuck! :tops:

So, if I console-disable command those bodies will they still show up the next day?

Playing on PC BTW

ED-E chases them and sets them on fire, like a dog chasing cats really. :P

I agree, they should disappear after a day or so, but I do enjoy killing them, even if I am wasting .50 BMG ammo with my Anti Materiel rifle. I love seeing weak enemies go flying after being hit by it... so much.

It's kind of random how they're neutral to me, but then every once in a while one of them will suddenly decide to attack me.

Also, there is one Freeside Thug in particular who always follows me around, but does nothing. He doesn't attack me or anything. Kind of creepy, he's stalking me...

im like so much in freeside there is a king member killing them for me then after they give me a skinpack

...Skinpack? Wow.

Also, there sure are a LOT of blood-thirsty players on this forum. There's like a dozen "I love thugs, they are a chance to *insert absurdly violent action here*"

Colonel, are you playing on PC, 360, what? I'm on the 360 and haven't noticed a problem with thug corpses accumulating... But I *have* seen that FO3's problem of eternal ash-piles persists. Sigh. People can say "lol it's just KB's", but it makes a difference. One of my FO3 saves would regularly crash after there were a hundred ash-piles in every cell.

Me and the freeside thugs have a "Love Hate" relationship. They always get the short straw....

I just go a little slow and Rex kills em'. He seems to enjoy it and never seems to suffer damage so I can't bring myself to spoil his fun. Yeah the Kings guys bring me stuff too. It takes longer than the attacks dealing with them.

Yeah its not just the thugs, that bounty hunter that owes money to the casino owners in Freeside you meet outside Gommorah stays lying on the sidewalk permanently too. Dissapointing such a small thing can't be taken care of...hell I'd quite happily get rid of them myself if I could dig an unmarked grave nearby and just pile them all in.

As for being attacked by thugs being annoying, dosen't happen to me anymore, as soon as they spawn the entire town shoots the crap out of them because I am well liked I guess.

I personally like when corpses stay in my game, it adds immersion, and save data doesn't worry me, I have plenty of space...

Would be cool if they slowly rotted, adds to the ambiance. I think I'd spare the memory.

I don't seem to have any thug encounters anymore
Is this because I helped Freeside or is it based on some other stat?

I guess I'm the only one who feels kind of bad about killing thugs. They are weak and obvious addicts desperately finding ways to get their next fix. It's just that their "ways" are not at all productive......

There's a courier in front of the Mojave Express at Prim whose body won't disappear. He must have been there for 30 in game days and should be little more than bones by now.

The random freeside thug attacks

is what makes freeside my favoritest town.

its the only thing to me that comes close enough to random encounters, which in NV there are none.

I love them. It's great every single time I see three of those guys charging at Veronica and see their heads blown to pieces seconds later.

"Probably die of natural causes eventually anyway." Damn right Veronica, damn right.
