Just wanted to let everyone know, we are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms. Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming. )

it has been over a GD week a and all u can do is write 2 sentences that you are working on this patch. i don't think it is really that hard for someone update your guys post on how far you guy are compete with the patch. and if that don't work just at least give a rough estimate on when u are going to finish up with this patch. but in my opinion i believe if they would be done with the patch within the week they would of posted it by because that would been good news for us(cause a week for a patch is not all that long, i guess for how much needs to be done). but i believe they are keeping silence because if they were to tell us when this patch might be out. which i think can up or even over a month it would just provoke people to get their money back. because people will not want to wait that long on something that shouldn't of been there in the first place.

1 more thing that i would and as obvious it is but anyways. you know a game is broken when people spend more time on the forums complaining about the game rather then playing the game

Well I guess three weeks because they have no idea what is causing 90% of theses bugs so they get to beta test it for 2 weeks and spend 1 week fixing it this shoulda been down 3 months ago but oh well... :banghead:

Constant updates on patch progress are a terrible idea.

We fixed the save game bug!
/everybody gets excited
Found out our fix for the save game bug caused the game to crash when trying to load certain textures.
/everybody is angrier than before

They are doing what should have been about a months worth of QA testing, and I for one hope they take their time and do it right. Unless you want a patch that causes more bugs than it fixes.

Exactly. I dont know why everyone continues to get so mad and rant and rave about it. The game is unplayable at this point. Just accept that, put it down, and dont touch it or think about it again until it becomes playable through some patches being released. Move on to a different title or go outside and throw the football around or make a tree fort or something else that doesn't involve moping on the couch and getting pissed at a non functioning game and then shuffling over to your computer chair where you continue to sit and complain online to a bunch of others about the problems you are having that everyone else already warned you about.

The poll is flawed, it assumes they're working on a patch at all or even care.

They aren't and they don't.

I agree, a sorry would be nice for a game that should have been delayed but wasnt and now is the source of much anger and frustration for fallout fans everywhere

See what I find amusing is that they said information would be forthcoming as if to say "We will be posting shortly with more information" and yet now 10 days have passed since that 2 sentence post has been made and not even ONE post containing even ONE sentence has been posted by anyone from Bethesda or Obsidian. Absolutely pathetic.

People need a place to vent. If you went to the theater and bought tickets to your movie of choice, got your popcorn, sat down, then was told the movie was unplayable and did not have a time period you could see it in (no refunds in some parts), come back soon. Would you ever go back to that theater? Top it off, people from another theater got to see it just fine. Ive not had the save game bug hit me yet (crosses fingers, knocks on wood, and prays to the good luck faerie), but I have had quests disappear completely, game freezes galore, graphic glitches, speech glitches and so on. The sheer amount of bugs they shipped this game with is nuts. Even though I managed to finish the game, it did feel as though I paid for a beta test position. The people I really feel for are the ones without ready internet access. They got really screwed over.

The makers of this game should be bending over backwards to make up for the mess they created, but in the realm of the all mighty dollar, whats a few angry customers.

Almost 13,000 views, 2 weeks and no updates on the "Game Updates".
You don't have to update it every day, but come on, at least tell us where in the process the patch currently is.
Are you still developing it? Have you finished development and waiting for your QA to finish and pass it on to Microsoft so their QA can make us wait another month?
How about letting us know which areas the patch will cover. Are you actually fixing the game crippling save game issue for the next patch or just 500 tin cans that are floating in mid air?
Is there so much that is broken that the normal Title Update system won't cover it and you're trying to work out a deal with Microsoft so that they'll let you patch in the style of Burnout Paradise? (Huge file that appears as a DLC in the Marketplace)

They aren't and they don't.

Don't be silly.

Of course they 're working on it, of course they care.

Far too many people are becoming childish in their frustration; making stupid comments.

If some of you are so convinced that they aren't making a patch, and have been less than impressed with their previous games, then why did you buy New Vegas? Let alone why you'd be floating around the forums waiting for nothing to happen.

Mess you once, shame on them. Mess you twice, shame on you.

Who thinks that the next NV patch will be released prior to a DLC and only have achievements for it and/or an unknown number of dubious hidden fixes?
