Games you suddenly want to (re)play

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:33 am

What are the games you suddenly want to (re)play? For me, there are two, one is Final Fantasy Dissidia, the other is Fatal Frame 2.

Final Fantasy Dissidia

I stumbled on videos of it through random YouTube surfing, I'm not a big fan of fighting games, nor of the fact that the gameplay changed so much, but I'm still a fan of pre-X FF, and seeing characters from the games just makes me itch to get it. I didn't because I know my attention span for fighting games last for ten minutes, but doesn't stop me to actually consider getting it.

Fatal Frame 2

Everytime someone asks which is the scariest game, or anything about Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I just want to replay Fatal Frame 2 (my favourite scary games if you haven't realise by now), not to mention the urge to argue that Amnesia is inferior to my FF2 (<- really devoted fan speaking). Sadly, I no longer have my Xbox, nor do I have an 360 (or knowing whether a Xbox FF2 works on a 360 or not).

Final Fantasy XIII. Just hit me the other day. Probably start it back up within the next month. Two of my three roommates will be working hours when I'm home and the other one will probably be playing Minecraft or 2K Baseball.

Well, last week I suddenly got the urge to replay Half-Life 2, HL2: Episode 1 and HL2: Episode 2, so I did.

Also a game I very occasionally get the sudden urge to replay is Icewind Dale II. It happens every 2-3 years with that one.

Another one which I've wanted to replay recently is SW:KotOR, but I've replayed it already recently so I'll wait another year or two before doing another replay so it fades a bit more.

I feel like replaying old games very often, but usually I only play them for a few minutes until I realise I actually do remember the whole game story still, and stop.

Valkyria Chronicles - I finished the story and most of Irene's report missions, but never got around to the Edy or Selvaria DLC. Also lost my saves so I'd have to start over anyway.

Final Fantasy XIII - Also lost saves here as well (well, every PS3 game save actually) and I've been hankering to replay, upgrade more weapons and do all of the Cie'th Stone missions.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Best game in the series in my humble opinion and I really just wanna play for the story again. Also, Aqua. Sure wish we'd get Final Mix releases though. You can't just go adding story content to region-exclusive versions, Square. :glare:

Final Fantasy VII. I must have played and beat that game at least 4 times and still want to play it again.

I replay most of my old games quite often, but recently I've been getting an urge for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outcast_%28video_game%29, and I seem to have lost my disc. :violin: I hope it turns up; Outcast is such an awesome underrated game. Pretty music too.

Brilliant game, and yeah, I love the music ^_^

If you have problems finding the game, it's http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/outcast. Although I never really got the music to work properly with this release, but in other hand I never tried the fan patches.

The urge to play through the Jak series has taken over me lately. Also been kicking around playing through the Golden Sun games again.

Persona 3
Bioshock

These games have been on my mind for a little bit. Bioshock, I can probably start tomorrow. Persona has to wait for my component cable to arrive. Soon enough though. Other than that, thinking about starting another Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape run.

Morrowind. But I know if I install it, I'm just gonna go dl a bunch of mods and not get any real playing done.
Oblivion. Since I borrowed my friends pc version, I have started playing it again. I only have dl'ed a werewolf mod so far, so I haven't been to distracted to actually play it.
Went to play KotOR 2 the other day, but apparently my disc is dead. It wouldn't let me play at all.
Have also been playing Diablo 2 lately.

Funny this should come up. I just finished playing through Stranger's Wrath, and just started on Munch's Oddysee. I also popped in SSX3 last night.

This right here sums it up for me.

But I have also been having the urge to play Castlevania: Simon's Quest. It is in my NES, I just never get around to turning it on.

Deus Ex, Hitman: Blood Money, Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, and Super Metroid - anytime I see these games mentioned, I get a sudden craving to play them! And once in a blue moon (actually once a year, really) I get the urge to play through all the LucasArts adventure games, starting with Monkey Island and ending up at Grim Fandango. :D

In fact... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoT5qK6hpbw

Final Fantasy Dissidia

Theres a second dissidia now. You can actually import your characters. Theres a whole new slew of game modes as well. Check it out!

***

I never really completed forza motorosport 3...its just too tedious. Its the kind of game you can leave for a while and comeback to...so long as they don't release another one.

(I've got till October.. )

Deus Ex very often, but not now. :P

After the Planescape Torment 2 thread I wanted to play through PS:T again, so I just started.
