gamesas needs to hire this woman

Definitely auto-tuned. You can hear it throughout, but can really tell at the end. I don't really care though. What performer doesn't use some sort of voice tuning these days?

I like it. I really enjoy that type of music. I'm not sure the genre, but it's enjoyable.

Good stuff.

edit: She isn't really playing the guitar either. I wasn't sure at first...but now I am positive. There is another video of her playing this song as a duet. The guitar is being "played" in the opposite hand as the previous video.

You do realise that as a fan of the game, she probably reads these forums. What's with the childish personal insults. You don't have to like the song, but comments like "Her nose is big." Christ, you kids need to grow up. Why are there so many 8 year olds on a forum for a game rated as 'Mature'?
The worse for her I think is that she never asked to be hired and because someone thought he could judge her as professionally capable and pushes her in front of critics, she'll be attacked as if she pretended that she should be hired. We all appreciate her fan work, but let's not exaggerate her skills.

On the opossite hand? Are you certain? I just cheked, looks like the same hands on booth videos. And yeah, she isn't even playing the guitar.

Yeah..thought I was lol. One video she is stringing from the right side, other from the left side.

Here's a video with some lady discussing the performer we are discussing. She admits she uses editing, but not auto-tune. Hmm.

For a fan rendition that comes close to being a suitable rendition for a bard in Skyrim, hers is the best I have heard. Although I enjoy the sound of it, particularly before she breaks into the old theme from Morrowind, I don't think it should be used in Skyrim. It sounds too electronic.

As far as the current in-game version goes, I wish they sang the phrase "Believe, believe" instead of "Buh-lieve Buh-lieve." It would have been nice if they made the "be-" part rhyme with the "be-" in beware. Also, the way they sing "Power!" seems a tad cheesy, but maybe that's how the NPCs like it.

Nah, she probably stopped reading about the thirteenth time this topic was started. She got bored with drooling adolescent boys a long time ago, I'm sure.

Yeah Youtube is so strange. While i'm watching a TES video there's hentai videos on the suggestion. It's just ridiculous. Now you can see how womans can control boys.... To not get off: topic, well i'm not sure about this. Homever i hope it's not voice edited.

I'm not trying to be mean, but her attractiveness barely registered to me. I can appreciate the song fine without looking. She's pretty, but she's kind of down to earth/average pretty. If that makes sense. It's not like I'm watching Beyonce or something. You guys are trying too hard to hate, if that's all you can say.

Hmm. That is a slight problem.

It`s why i listened without watching the video.

I think it would be fine though as part of a say, Mod.

People will always judge on looks, even subconscously. Everyone does it. It`s the nature of Man. Look at lady gaga, she`s gotta wear all kinds of crap to hide her face and she can`t even sing!

I might sound harsh but she`s rich and famous so it don`t matter.

Just think, the young men and women posting on these forum are the future of the human race. The leaders of tomorrow's goverments, the creators of tomorrow's art and the teachers of tomorrow's children. Humanity is in deep [censored] for sure.

Well, I'm an old fart at 34.I have no clue why anyone would project that I might like the song simply because of her appearance. Like I said, I'm an old fart. I might be beyond petty teenage hormonal reactions at this point. Sometimes at least. hah

Men never tire of good looking women-ever. Unless they`re gay. We can keep going right up until, whenever!
I guess we can just control ourseleves better since we end up learning where the younger ones haven`t... yet.

Still I see a lot of pretty women who seem to get where they are due to their looks. I mean have you ever seen an ugly woman newsreader?

Yep. I kept hitting the tilde key to open the console so I could type in showracemenu and change it. It doesn't work.

That is my whole point. Mediocre has become the new standard of awe for the youth. Fans of this girl praise her music because "wugga wugga, check out those juggas. drool. slobber". Sadly those in the other camp discredit her music because "her nose is too big". Real deep musical discussion indeed.

They should use her as a voice actor for some of the bards. For gods sake get some decent singers for the bards in the next game. The songs are ok, but I hate hearing them because of the poor productions. The regular music is great, but the bards are almost as bad as the wolf howls.

I have, in different countries. But that's a fair enough point. Most newsreaders are pretty.

Like I said, I think she's pretty too. But it's nothing to write home about or anything. Pretty women are everywhere.

Personally, I thought that song was lame and corny when I first heard it in game. Despite some saying it's overproduced, I think it's intentional.. she kind gave it a kind of Enya-esque, Renfaire rock feel, and changed my mind about it. Btw, I'm a guitar player myself. I CARE about music. I don't exactly like being reduced to having opinions that revolve around looks, when it comes to any music. I mean, I'm actually listening. It's my nature to do so.

Definitely not, OP. First of all, she doesn't sound fantastic. It was okay, but there's way too much editing. Second, what on earth would make you think a heavily edited tavern song would fit Skyrim's theme? These songs are supposed to be sung by travelling bards. Every song should just be a person's original voice- if you need to edit it, it doesn't belong in Skyrim.

Is it a good fan performance? Yeah, sure. Is it the most beautiful, heavenly music I've ever heard? NO.

That's kind of how music works, no? There are few rules to it. Elvis got famous by blending blues he heard from African American communities in Memphis, and his own hootenanny yodeling country listening family.. mixed with his love for Italian crooners like Dean Martin. Anything can be done.

edit: Wait, I'm misunderstanding. Sorry. I thought you were criticizing her genre blending and such. Would this fit somewhere in Skyrim's theme? Probably not. I could maybe see it in credits though, where they tend to play a stream of songs in most games these days.

Actually, she can sing. She just got bored of being ignored when playing in bars/restaurants so she went the attention-starving path and stopped caring about the technique. If you listen to her in her pre-Gaga era, she's a good singer.
