Zelda is my favorite franchise, I was planning to do some items (swords and shields sound good, but I think some of those have been done so try not to overdo it). The outfit sounds great, but I've been curious about doing armor/clothing. I guess I'd need one of Skyrim's base body's to work with and build off of. Not everyone uses the same body, either, so I don't know.

For males, you can pretty much go with the default body, AFAIK. I see far fewer armor models that require an alternative male mod, most usually just offer support for one. Those that do require it tend to be on the fashion-y end.
For females, your recommended choices are: default, UNP (collects a lot of Japanese attention, tends to have more clothed women but not an absolute rule, tends to be 'fashiony'), CBBE (most popular body mod, armor mods for this are more often extremely skimpy but this is not a hard rule.)

I personally would advocate UNP, having tried all three, but that's just me.

I use UNP.

Or, I switch back to it, rather. I've been using the e55 body for a while (its main problem lies with how unknown it is making it lack work done to it). There's way too many armors/clothing I find ridiculous for CBBE since it's quite popular; therefore I'd rather not deal with that body type and its fans. I use Better Males, but I think Vanilla looks better.

The Magic Armor was something I was considering, but moreso the Zora Armor because I think it strikes a strong similarity to the guards armor (Stormcloak basically).

I vote Magic Armor or the original, myself. I like CBBE's model better than UNP, but the majority of what I could find for it... not so much a fan. Never heard of e55, but at this point, my chief concern is compatibility with nifty armor mods moreso than the merits of any model itself. I suppose that has an unfortunate tendency to betamax any new work...

If I do the original, I'll most likely make it look Nordic while still being able to recognize it's Link's garb even without knowing it was a Zelda mod.

If your looking for inspiration, Adam Admowicz's concept art has some truly fantastic stuff, architecture pieces, armour, weapons, the lot.

I know. Things were happening around the house, it left me little time to focus on texturing. I'm back in it, though. Send me a private message in a few days to check in.

I wanna see someone make a Dwemer Nanosuit (Crysuit 2 + Dwemer tech) : black and/or gold variants
Or how about a Dwemer Advanced Suit? (Dead Space + Dwemer tech)
A Bobba Fett style armor ... jetpack?
The Green Goblin mask is cool
Daedric Terminus Armor (ME2 + Daedra)
Dwarven Fallout 3 suit
Shrouded Ranger Armor (New Vegas + Dark Brotherhood)

If I had the time and the talent I'd make 'em all. Just some ideas, you can take them as literally as you wanna. Ideally I'd like to see them as lore-friendly as possible.

Maybe 2 of those can be lore-friendly as possible. I'm only working on things that are, though. I've no desire to create something that doesn't fit.

Yes. This. I'm looking to do everything. Self modeling projects I've been working on have been rocks, columns, domes, tents, statues, etc. Nothing serious, but I've set the early drafts down to see what I could do.
While I think of how best to describe the situation, in the meantime, I'd really love to see replicas of damaged and destroyed Oblivion gates left over from the crisis 200 years ago.

You take any of those too literally and none of em would be lore-friendly. I was looking at it from a style, structure, color perspective. I wouldn't want to see The Green Goblin mask from Spiderman in the game, although something resembling it would be cool.

Fantastic idea Arthmoor and I agree it fits.

@Porsha: Did you played http://lovkullen.net/Emma/Vilja.htm? If so then you know that you could ask Vilja about changing her fighting style (melee, use of a bow, don't fight unless they attacked her). That's something I missed with Lydia since you're rewarded by the title Thane of Whiterun and she became your húskarl, but it also could be useful for the other companions/húskarls too.

I wish I knew this when... oh wait, that's a fairly new mod. It would have been great when I was playing Oblivion couple years ago! I'm a tea connoisseur. I'm thinking a Dwemer or Nordic mug with coffee is suitable, unless I'm told otherwise.

I used a (different) coffee cup resource in my Princess Cheydinhal House for Sale mod, but I can't remember who made the set. Personally, I think a modified Dwemer or Nordic mug would be best in terms of fitting in :)

Guh. Why didn't I think of this. Amazing idea. Perhaps they could still thrum with an echo of their former power, perhaps causing a darkening, reddening imagespace effect when approached? They would probably be a ripe location for daedra worship as well. Either way, this needs to happen one day.

The idea for them originated on TESA. I forget who asked, but it was in a resources request thread there. I merely asked here because it doesn't appear that idea even got noticed before.

I remember making a similar suggestion in a doomed Oblivion resource-port request thread on here back in April, which then descended into a lore discussion. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1368918-a-skyrim-oblivion-gate/page__p__20693710__hl__oblivion__fromsearch__1#entry20693710
I really can't seen why there weren't any in Skyrim to begin with, since apparently it saw a lot of Daedra action during the Oblivion crisis. Hey ho.

How about this, old and overweight/out of shape physiques, not to mention different children faces. (Yet another reason the artists @ CDPR should be commended)Seeing the amazing amount of variety in advlt models while at the same time having the same rug rat over and over seems a bit silly, particularly since it's impossible to create a new face via the CK!

I'd second Arthmoor's request for city architecture meshes. He's the on with the specifics, but those meshes would really help with Open Cities development, I'm sure.

I like the idea. Arthmoor, send me a private message with more details when you find the time.

@TakezoDunmer, Not sure what I could do with physiques unless they're meant for creatures. Humans have a few body mods and there's some monster mods loaded with new ones; but I'd be more inclined to work with creatures. And children faces? You have no idea how much I want to change the male/female face as they're one in the same.

Oh, hey, I'll drop a request of my own here too.

Staves! In the styles of the existing materials. There's already a dwemeri staff, but it would cool to see glass, elven, ebony, etc. staves.

Penumbric Weapons would be great. They appeared in the Shadow Key TES mobile game and are supposed to be more powerful than Daedric Weapons.

Shadowrend might be an example of a Penumbric Weapon but we don't know for sure but you could use it as an artistic base for any weapons you make. http://images.uesp.net/thumb/e/e8/SI-item-Shadowrend2.png/180px-SI-item-Shadowrend2.png

Well for what its worth, It appears Bethesda has given the OK to convert files from Oblivion to Skyrim. There are several files on the Steam Workshop of Oblivion weapons and the uploader included an email with customer support saying it was ok.

Lots of great ideas here. If you're not overloaded yet, and are still considering requests... I've been wanting a particular style of open-faced stormcloak helmet. One that leaves the grill in front of the guards faces, but removes the plate of steel that hides their faces. I know their are a couple of open-faced guard helmet mods, but none that leave the grill alone.

It would be awesome if you found the time for my little idea. Thanks.
