God I love this game and Bethesda!

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 9:12 pm

At over 220 hours now, that's about 27 cents an hour for entertainment! I wish movies were 54 cents to see in the theater! Don't get me wrong, I've spent a fair amount of time just fixing up my inventory and dealing with my containers, putting down items, picking them up, but DAMN! That's cheap! Or, that's Great Value... If I were at home, I wouldn't be on the forum, I'd be on the xbox. My wife and I get home and start it up every day since Skyrim came out. One of us starts dinner and the other's playing.

My "I love this game" topic did not get any love... sorry to say, but we're a dying breed, you and I.

Edit: Well look at that! It got revived. It seems people still love it, after all.

Seconded.

Thirded.

If my wife didn't work nights and I didn't have a little baby to take care of while she is at work I'd definitely play more. I've never bought a bad game from Beth. I loves me Bethesda.

Bethesda and Square Enix are the two companies that I'm pretty certain I've never bought a bad game from. Oh, and Nintendo. :)

I wish I loved this game as much as you do. Sadly, I'm having trouble with the hundreds of bugs, glitches, and the loss of interest now that I pretty much have to avoid enjoying the game until they patch it in January.

I'll be happy to join you in this thread. Over 200 hours here too and I'm astounded by how much I haven't done yet. I'm thinking about getting onto the MQ and saving a bunch for a new game. It's really incredible. I think it'll come down to less than a penny an hour at some point, you know? Seriously. Can't beat that.

By the way, all you nay-sayers can just avoid the threads with happy people on them instead of spreading your joy. It's ok, really. Sorry you don't like it.

I love this game as well. I still will not give Bethesda a break though. Lots of shoddy work was done, but none the less, I love Skyrim. Awsome game, hard to put down.

Save pity for the people who buy this game thanks to overly-positive threads like this and then realize that Bethesda just sold you an unfinished game.

My PC copy of the game doesn't feel unfinished at all.

Now if you're on PS3 than yeah, that's a problem.

Much love from me too, and glad to see a positive posting on this forum. 148 hours, 7 MB save file, a slight tendency to crash after 3 or 4 hours when I fast travel, but I love this game. Well done gamesas!

Yeah....believe me. You play a LOT more being single. Unless you are lucky enough to land a girlfriend who is as much a gamer as you are.

Yeah....believe me. You play a LOT more being single. Unless you are lucky enough to land a girlfriend who is as much a gamer as you are.

Well I have a wife that is dedicated to the old school paradigm of being the matron of the house and doing all the cooking / cleaning while I take care of the yard work and bring in more income, so I actually play more now than when I was single. I'm sure children will change that, but not all (hardly any) generalizations are true... just go find Mrs. Right!

Also as to the OP topic, yes I love this game (120 hours) and Bethesda. I'm an old school DOS gamer that fell in love with Daggerfall and while I miss some of the headier and deeper aspects of the series, I love what they have done with the action packed combat and the graphics over the years... I see it as a trade off.

As someone pointed out in another thread, graphic are getting close to peaking right now and until we get full VR matrix style they aren't going to get that much better anymore. So we might see a return to deeper gameplay once updating the graphics isn't as important.

I honestly think the reason you see so much negativity about this game is because TES has a legendary status and its fans have such high expectations that its almost impossible not to be let down with each new game... but that is a compliment to TES.

On a Dollars per Gameplay Time, basis, TES games are about the best deal around. Along with Fallout 3.
