Are there any good vampires in Skyrim? Or are they all pretty much evil?

When I say good, I'm talking about vampires like Angel, Drusilla or Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

the ones in the dark brotherhood, idk if you would count them.

not that im aware of the only one that might be considered a good and I use that term lightly is the court mage in solitude but im not too sure if it is confirmed that she is one

drusilla was NOT good.....neither was spike.....(although he did become good, even tho he was still an ass.)

more to the question, IDK, i wouldnt count babette as good. but i am curious to the ore for vamps in TES. id also like to play a good vampire lord but the way i hear it, you MUST join the vamps in the DLC to be a vamp lord. apparently vampires and vampire lords are two different things....

The court Mage of solitude is a vampire. Not sure if she is consider good or evil but from what I've seen she hasn't harmed anyone and aids the yarl and the city. They never actually go much indempt about her vampirism and I don't believe they know.

Edit-Also in the previous title, oblivion, count hassildor was a vampire and was generally good or neutral. He only feed on criminals the guards dragged into his dungeon.

If Sybille Stentor is a vampire as speculated, then she counts. Babette of the Dark Brotherhood too. Though perhaps good is not the right term... not hostile to the PC, perhaps?

Sybille is the closest thing you get to good while i wouldnt call babette good. Babette kills anyone for a price making her an assasin and not 'good' while Sybille only feeds on criminals.

Yeah the court mage is the only vamp in the game I would say is 'good', I actually made a good vamp character early on acting like angel a bit lol but I would like it if regular vampires weren't hostile towards you or if you killed other vampires they would attack you saying things like 'traitor' or something but I guess thats gonna be resolved in dawnguard

Oh, there's Vampire(s) living at a mill in either Falkreath or Whiterun hold if memory serves. Don't know if they are hostile to the player or not though..

OY! Spike was beyond the mere word of 'good' when he became ghostlike and was forced to stay on Angel's premises! I've never really cared for him, but that Angel season was pure GOLD and made him my favourite character back then!

Not hostile, but they prey on travelers passing by, so I wouldn't call them good either. Although the worst the female vampire does is inviting the pc to stay overnight, but you can't really take her up on her offer (and she won't try to feed on you when you actually remain in the vicinity).

please...the only reason he saved the world and endend up a ghost was so he could get in buffys pants and brag about it angel, thus making him an ass. buffy and angel were 2-3 steps from twilight. (buffy more so than angel). Granted Angel wasnt that bad, and they were more in line with vamp lore, thank god angel didnt sparkle, but to me it had it whiny moments. Cordeala this, faith that...buffy youre here? OH NO my son wants to kill me..... If angel woud of manned up and started out right killing and going after the bad guys thing would of been a lot better. he IS a vamp too....


then again when it comes to vamps and vamp lore, i prefer the "underworld" and "blade" series.....althought i hate snipes......

Skingrad's count in Oblivion was nice. He only fed on people that allowed him to, and he spent most of his life keeping his wife alive since she refused to feed. Sad really.

But the default vampire in skyrim sorta sparkles anyway. You won't find any truely 'evil' vamps outside of Player Characters or a hand full of dens strewn with bloody bones. Currenlty you can't even kill some one by feeding on them. Unlike werewolves who will rip you to bloody ribbons THEN devour your corpse

Nope. But when I did a quest involving him I did pay attention to his red eyes and very sharp teeth. It was a bit of surprise to me.

Amazing I Havent talked to many Vampires in skyrim. But when i talked to Hern or whatever his name was,I saw his sharp teeth :3

Uhm, I was referencing to the period when he constantly teased Angel since the both of them just couldn't evade each other. By that time, I was growing out of my teenage years and already dropped Buffy TVS. I just liked how he acted like an ass, it was funny to me.

And well, BTVS and Angels are both series meant for teenage public, so of course there's the cheesy romantic stuff and whiny moments. Besides, all vampire shows have their bad parts; Blade was the typical testosterone-filled macho with a 'tragic' past, and Underworld had a bit of a Romeo & Julia vibe with vampires and werewolves pit against each other for some reason. In fact, the genre severely lacks a show wherein they'll rather fight tactically and psychologically. I always thought vampires were masters of manipulation ...

If they didn't immediately attack me upon first sight, I probably would've helped them. I know a certain guy who's able to do just that. And then I really could thwart Clavicus' plans. It's too bad really.

And I assume Clavicus' talk won't change if you let them all live somehow (by sneaking past or using Calm) ...

that would be hert , and yeah i actually did a playthrough roleplaying an orc wood-luberer there once, spent 3 or 4 months living with her and she is actually really decent , what i would count as a "good" vampire

i think she actually feeds on animal blood rather than humans aswell

although saying this im not sure if she was a werewolf

vampires are not supposed to be good , only if you did not intentionally become a vamp do i think you could really be counted as being at least neutral if not good
