I'm trying to play without the compass and the crosshair right now. It seems to be okay; I'll see in the future; I haven't tried to use a bow without the crosshair yet. ;)

I'm playing a Nord savage-gone-wanderer with a greatsword and furs with a skeptical view on foreigners and a fairly realistic carrying capacity. And no money apart from that which is needed for absolutely necessary inn stays.

He's called Arnold the Barbarian and looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger and is the most immersive experience I've managed.

All this talk about it being ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to take breaks for eating, sleeping, catching one's breath, staring at a campfire or taking a dump is nonsense, in my eyes. Roleplay has never been and will never be about full-scale simulation.

But that's just my opinion, eh.
