I had an idea about Enchanting

Walk into Bleak Falls Barrow at 10-15th level with 20-25 soul gems and a soul trap weapon, you'll see.
Well, have you entered bleak falls barrow earlier, because if you have the dungeon locks at that level.

Never. Every time I start Bleak Falls, I go all the way through. I understand the "lock in" that occurs.

I'm not talking about the difficulty of BFB, I'm talking about how many soul gems you can fill up and how much you can level enchanting just doing that one dungeon.

Would capping everything at 100% have been a good design choice? Probably. Are loads of players glad they didn't do it. Yes. So we are kind of stuck with the old 'you have to limit yourself, or you are messing with my game' scenario. 100% chameleon was a very poor design/balance choice in Oblivion, but plenty of people loved it. No right answer; I hate 'don't like it , don't do it', but that's what we are stuck with, if we want to enjoy the game without spoiling anyone else's enjoyment. Trite, but true.

I see...
well, if that's the stuff you like to do then there's no wonder why you become OP at a low level.

Not to mention you don't need to waste Soul Gems on refilling weapons if you have that one Perk that transfers like 5% of the soul back to your weapon.

Actually there's an easy way to have balanced out 100% Chameleon.

Give some enemies constant Detect Life effects.

I disagree. I've never used such loop and its easy to feel overpowered by the low 20s.

See there in lies our difference, I hate magic, never been a fan(playing since Morrowind) I play on master without magic(my enchants are for crafting) , so I don't know what it's like with magic. Play my way and return to Bleak falls barrow by Lv.15-20 and be ready to have your butt handed to you. But from what I do understand of the magic system in the game, the cost of magic usage is a joke and I can understand why someone rolling a mage would use the enchant exploit to "balance" out the cost of casting a spell.

Oh well disregard my post^^ above. I see what you mean, it's the same for smithing but it's still up to you to choose to go that way or not and it kinda seems like you cannot stop your-self from going down that road.

Not if you play as an Assassin...

What??? There is no way as an assassin you are able to coast through with out a problem at Lv.15-20!!! You just haven't built up enough perks by that point to feel close to a assassin demigod. But like I said NO MAGIC is how I play so as for an assassin skilled in illusion or what ever I cannot say, but as a "physical" assassin you don't reach demigod status untill Lv.30-40.

Really?

Because Stealth, shoot arrow, hide, Stealth, shoot arrow, hide, repeat as needed is a very easy and effective strategy.

Yes you should! There have been cheats/codes/guides for games for as long as they've been out, and it's up to you to choose weather or not to use them.

Carrots.

This is not some Game Genie exploit. This is not us looking online to see that entering the Konami Code gives us 30 extra lives.

This is basic gameplay we are talking about. Basic gameplay that the average player can figure out.

It's a game mechanic that is given to us to use and given to us to improve.

The game should be balanced for everything the player can do. Period. That's how good game design works.

Yes, but that's another issue.

I can agree with this, but remember that there is a difference between gameplay and cheats, though limiting yourself is probably better (I think someone might have mentioned this) ruining the fun for others who enjoy becoming an unstopable killing machine.
I personally take whatever I feel will fit my build, it hasn't led to any enchanting yet, but it probably will, anyways there are plenty of ways to challenge yourself if you feel that stuff becomes to easy.

Start a assassin build, play on master until you reach Lv.15 return to Bleak falls barrow and try your game plan^^( without exploits). I'm telling you it's no cake walk!! Your method works fine for novice-adept but on expert-master that trick doesn't always work your sneak(unless that's all you perked) just is not good enough to fool the AI, closing doors works while you sneak.

Been on Master, done that, still easy.

Had gear from Dark Brotherhood, gear I found that improved Bow damage, and gear I found that improved Stealth.

Just had to shoot from a little bit farther away.

I went online to find the exploits, some refer to the exploits as "cheating" there for it's a cheat! And now your making my point, they gave us the mechanic and if it was a mistake it would have been removed by now but it hasn't been removed and it is up to you to exploit the system the system doesn't force the exploits on you.

and those of us with self-control shouldn't have to play a game with restrictions because others don't have it.

This discussion is kind of pointless. There are two opposing views and neither side will ever like the other.

The sky is brown, not blue, therefore since "some" (me) refer to it as brown therefore it is brown.

Second bolded part, please refer to Bethesda themselves:

After the holidays, we’ll continue to release regular updates for the game — through full title updates, as well as incremental “gameplay updates” to fix whatever issues come up along with rebalancing portions of the game for difficulty or exploits. We plan on having a lot of these, not just a few. http://www.bethblog.com/2011/12/01/skyrim-what-were-working-on/

What restrictions exactly would be imposed on you if some Enchantments capped at 85% instead of 100%, since you don't use them anyway?

They also said that the Oghma loop was going to be fixed but it's not!!! Your starting to come off a little childish with your responses, I refuse to continue this conversation on the basses that neither side is gonna give up and if your going to continue to degrade your-self with childish responses then I'm done.

In other words you have no logical argument, if you ever had one before.

The point, which you seemed to have missed, was that just because "some" say that something is a "cheat" doesn't make it a "cheat." If the logic of "some" calling something a "cheat" were true, then camping in FPS games would be cheating. Using combos in fighting games would be cheating. A great number of things would be labeled as "cheating," thus using the argument of "well this person said it's cheating so it must be cheating" is a baseless... and rather child-like, angle to take.

Please, in the history of TES games, when "exploits" and balancing issues have been found, have some, many, or potentially all not been looked at, reviewed, and then taken care of accordingly either by fixing it or allowing it to remain there?

Resorting to "well they said this would be fixed but it's not," with several exclamation marks mind you, is the childishness you are projecting on to me.
