I had to kill my wife, Ysolda

If she ended up being a crack head then that would be a different story.

"You got some Skooma, yeah? Right buddy? Pal? To share? Come on, pass the Skooma already!"

Imagine Ysolda with that voice, that would drive me over the edge.

Any connection between skooma and soma, the drug in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World?: "All the advantages of Christianity and alcohol; none of their defects."

Had to be done. Doesn't matter if she was my wife, skooma and whatever that sap crap is, goes against my characters morals. Her decapited body is still in street, despite me going to prison for several days. And I don't regret it. Anyone else done something like this, that your character stood for something so much, he did something so drastic?

So why did you marry her in the first place?

Something similar but not quite as such, I guess?

My bosmer archer (and werewolf) was fun to play. Married Aela as soon as I could. We hunted together.

The way I played this character was unique. When playing normally, I'd be the archer. When I got bored, I would get intoxicated, equip the Ring of Hircine, and play as a werewolf until I sobered up. Why do I do this? Because I find it a lot more realistic to play as...waking up the next morning to find out that, while as a werewolf, I killed dozens of people and have absolutely no memory of it. It was a fantastic way to roleplay in my opinion.

The problem? I accidentally killed Aela. Woke up the next morning after having saved outside of Blackreach, only to realize she wasn't following me. She wasn't at home. Turned on the quest to "Get jobs from Companion Leaders", there were only two: Farkas and Vilkas. I searched high and low and couldn't find her. I went back into Blackreach and found her mangled corpse. I brought her to the waterfall and threw her in, giving her what seemed like the best burial I could at the time. It was so heartwrenching for my character that he went back and purged the wolf from his being, swearing to never succumb to it again. Furthermore, he became more of an upright citizen afterwards, trying to repent for what he had done. Joined the Imperials, destroyed the DB, and ended the civil war.

While it's not the exact same thing, such actions do give a much larger depth to your characters, and make them much more fun to play.

Sleeping tree sap is awesome.

It goes against my character's morals if she doesn't collect it. You know, to protect the children...

I have noticed she spends a lot of time at my alchemy table, now I know why, but as long as she shares her profit with me I don't care.
