hardcoe mode......(like in fallout vegas)

So is everyone else aware of all the food, drinks, and beds that we havent even bothered to use since we started playing the game? I know that alot of people think that getting hungry, thirsty, or sleepy is pretty [censored] and annoying and that its real easy to replenish these basic needs but it has to be there! Only as an optional choice of course but it bugs me so much that I see all these barrels filled with food, all the food/drink shops all over the game, all the inns that have no purpose other than decorating the landmass with something more than natural foliage. There needs to be a hardcoe mode or realism mode, whatever people want to call it. I would love to have to deal with the cold weather and keeping my character from getting hyperthermia. Having limited gear (basically the stuff you can carry on u realisticly like you cant carry 200 potions on you its just not possible), having all diseases kill you if you dont treat them in time, having to prepare myself by buying food and drinks before I head out onto the road, no fast travel, maybe introducing limb damage? Who knows but still hunger, thirst and sleep need to be there as optional just to add alot more fun and realism into the game.

I understand that people like to "imagine" these effects but actually feeling the effects is alot more real than imagining it.

I very much agree that this needs to be in the game. Not a "want" persay but a need because realism plays a big part in Skyrim and I think thats something that everyone can agree upon.

There's usually a thread every week or two about this.

It's been pointed out that if you want to, for realism purposes, sleep, eat, drink, etc., there;s nothing stopping you from doing this in the game.

Just do it the same way you do in the real world, i.e., none of us need a "hardcoe" switch to be flipped before we eat, sleep, drink in real life so, why should we need it in a game?

That being said, I don't have any issue with this being an option so long as doing this doesn't reduce resources that would otherwise be available to put something in the game that most people want and doesn't create any bugs that we all have to live with.

So you resort to "imagining" the effects rather than feeling it is that it? That doesn't sound realistic and fun to me. You shouldn't be able to choose when your hungry, thirsty, or sleepy the effects have to come randomly just like they do in rl.

Daniel, "you" don't feel anything.

And neither does your "toon" ... something will display indicating your health is going down or however else they set the system up and you'll have to sleep, eat, or whatever ... or your toon will croak and you'll have to restart from your last save.

If that's "realism" to you, fine.

Like I said, I don't have any issue with Beth adding in an "hardcoe" option if they want ... not that they care what I think anyway ... so long as the resources put into doing it aren't removed from the implementation of a feature that most people might want.

I think it would be ok if they did something "similar". Maybe just add things like "you grow weaker from the lack of sleep, hunger, or thirst". Then it would just take away some of your stamina and strength.
