Harkon's armour

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 9:16 pm

So, there's so much about Dawnguard that still must be relegated to speculation but there's one thing of which I am certain: I think Harkon's armour looks sick. Do you think it will be unique to him or widely-used by the faction? It would be such a shame if it weren't lootable.

That will be confirmed 100% when the DLC is released. I think that high ranking members of the faction may have armour Similar to Harkon's or that you may be able to get Harkon's armour if you join the Dawnguard as you will probably kill him as part of the main quest. The armour may be lootable by the glitch if you can get him as your follower however I doubt that you will be able to loot it legitimately. You never know... Maybe youll get the exact same armour as a reward after you complete the quests from that faction. :drag:

I'm sure they have some sort of faction armor, even if his is just for him. I just want to know if it will be heavy or light so I know which to use when I start preparing my vampire character.

I have a feeling maybe something similar will be used by the faction but that his will be unique sort of like Tullius' armor is a unique version of imperial legion armor.

This is vampires. It's most likely going to be light armor.

I wanted Tullius's armor so bad. We should've got to become a general. There needed to be some excuse for pro-Legion characters to have it.

I felt the same way I did a second playthrough with the stormcloacks just so I could kill him and have that armor then I went back to my legion file just can't abandon the empire like that.

Fair points, all. I wouldn't mind a similar faction armour with Harkon's being a unique variation. I love the asthetics, it manages regality whislt staying quite understated, in my opinion. Well, ignoring the bright gold colour.

I understand that, but his armor does not look particularly light.

Just like how you could have Ulfric's armor or Tullius' armor, you'll probably have to kill him to have it.

Yeah the armor is pretty sick and can't wait to find more info out about it, I hope vampire players can gain it at some point.

I'm also curious if there will be an accompanying helmet. I can't help but imagine something similar to Magneto's helm, at least in form, anyway. If there is a matching helm, I wouldn't complain if it has a crest of some sort.

that would be awesome. I am very curious about the armor sets in dawnguard, I hope there's more than what we saw in the E3 gameplay vids

I'm hoping his armor will be similar to the Archmage's robes, where you obtained them after you finished the college questline and became Archmage

I'm inclined to agree, though I'm not expecting a huge amount to be added. The biggest downside to playing on a console is lacking the access to mods.

I don't know, but I still like the look of the (soon to be mine) Dawnguard armor.

Me neither, Shivering Isles which is considered to have roughly the same size as Dawnguard had about 4 new armor sets and a bunch of clothes. But since Dawnguard members are particularly interested in armor and weapon crafting, I expect them to offer some armor variety

Has it been mentioned anywhere if they've included new physics for clothes?

Well, perhaps, if you complete the Volkihar faction quests, Harkon becomes kill-able, and you'de be able to kill Harkon with the ability he would have granted you with?
Sort of like, Overpowering him?
Never know...

Im guessin if we get to kill him as a dawnguard or traitor vamp then we get to loot that armor off his dead undead body. I hate the imperials but i once sided with the darkside just to kill ulfric and get his clothes :)

What if
Spoiler
You side with Seranna, and try to prevent Harkon from sacrificing her, thus making Harkon the main antagonist of the vampire storyline? would love to see that
