I hate Cazadors.

I hate them, the worst thing is when they poison you when you have low health, and when they are in groups. Even with crippled wings they're still so annoying.

Seems that Cazadores are the "cliff racers" of New Vegas.

That's kinda how I feel about them. I can't help but sigh when I see them. Maybe I just svck, but I have trouble hitting them for the sneak crit. They move so much so fast. It feels like the game is in fast-forward mode when I look at them and their inane pattern. When they see me it feels like they teleport to my face. In every encounter with those things I wind up wasting ammo on missed shots.

At least they don't go over my head. I hated how the cliffracer would pop out of the sky and interrupt my movement so suddenly and annoyingly. God I hated those! I can't play that frigging game without a cliffracer remover mod.

bah now all I can think about is how often those cliffracers pissed me off. I still remember that rage inducing squeal. Sometimes I would see them in the distance and then go out of my way just to avoid them.

They are the worst thing, its rare that you will see them before they see you, and all the people say just take Boone he will do it, I had 4 full grown ones ambush me and Boone he got unconsious and left me to run. Then I went to hardcoe and I avoid them and I avoid taking any companions, I couldnt bare the loss.

i can take them out pretty easy with a weapon which fires bursts (assault carbine etc)

it did took me a high guns skill and lvl 25 but still.

but i think the deathclaws are way overpowered even now i cant seem to scratch them (only with sneak critical hit)

Like others have mentioned, Boone takes them out like it's nothing. As long as you don't let him get hit by two or more, he can take them out from range.

10 mm sub-machine gun. I go through a lot of 10 mm ammo, got rid of the pistols and give the 9 mm SMG to my companion.

Takes em' down pretty well even on lower levels. As some have said the wings are a good tartget but it's not that hard to waste em'.

I never use VATS so maybe that helps I dunno.

I was surprised how beastly the 10MM Sub is in New Vegas.

It is by far the best weapon I've used against Cazadores.

Let your companion melee tank them and they aren't too bad. They die fast, unlike Deathclaws.

If your companion gets low on HP, Stimpaks are an instant heal for them even on hardcoe mode. It's better to let your companion tank Giant Rads and Cazadors. Deathclaws can be iffy to let them tank for long though, at least if your CHA is 1 and therefore your Nerve bonus svcks.

I cant believe these lil basstards replaced the yogi bears from FO3

My fav. creature from the capital wasteland is missing and makes NCR look like idiots seein as their flagship idol is elsewhere whereas legion can lookup to the big horner for moral support.

NCR's icon = Bear
Casear Legion icon = Bull

I was almost sure that there were bears in nevada and parts of california. (atleast in zoos.

I hate Cazadors. Feel free to imagine this entire post liberally sprinkled with the most offensive garbage you can think of.

On Easy or Very Hard. On Normal or hardcoe. At level 3 or at level 30. With a 9mm or a Riot Shotgun. With a 10 Guns or a 100 Guns. With a Vault jumpsuit or Tesla Power Armor. It doesn't matter what I'm wearing, what level I am, the Perks I've chosen, or the weapons I'm using...

I. HATE. CAZADORS.

I think I hate them more than Deathclaws. More than anything else.

That is all. I must. Must. Say this. And since nobody I know would have any idea what I'm talking about, I had to post it here.

There is no emoticon to convey the hate that burns inside me.

Well said. :grad:

Cazadores have zero DT, so any high DPS weapon works well, especially if it sprays multiple shots downrange so you can clip a wing. My personal preference is a sneak attack using a Hunting Rifle to draw them away from the swarm one-by-one, followed by a Hunting Shotgun to put them down as they close in. But the 10mm SMG works well.

I made a thread about warning my fellow couriers about these steroid-injected bloatflys. One tip: Flamethrower

I hate them 'cause they make me run backwards while shooting them, while they keep flanking me in swarms. Well two or three bugs at a time swarms that is...

the moment the swarm of fast, constantly moving red lines appear on the compass (thanks ED-E who is a great Cazadors) i make a wide path right around them.

I saw a swarm of them attack a swarm of fire geckos today.....it was fast and nasty, those poor geckos didnt stand a chance.

I hate Cazadors too, much moreso than DeathClaws because of their speed. I find VATS is a great way to kill them, and allows me to enjoy their death more with great views from the Vats-Cam.

That we hate a monster in the game because of it's lethality and effectiveness is the mark of excellent monster design and even more-so in level design (monster placement). Their packs make them so much more deadly.

I blame Oscuro for many of my deaths. :P I'll never look at a bee sting the same way again...

Other than their poison and erratic movements I don't have too much problems with Cazadores. No DT makes them squishy and VATS takes care of their constant dancing. Deathclaws however will almost always kill me or one of my companions if they manage to get into melee range.

This. I use Ed-E to pick them up on my radar from a distance. The tell-tale back and forth movement always gives them away. I hate them so much from my low-level days that I will stop w/e it is I am doing to take them out.

Cazadores hit just as hard as deathclaws, except they come in packs, are a quarter the size, and fly.

HATE them.

and poison you

Use HP ammo on a rapid-fire weapon. They used to be the bane of my existence. Now they are a minor nuisance because I always have a 9mm or 10mm SMG with HP ammo. Even the advlts go down in 1-3 VATS shots, and the SMGs don't use many action points.

Even at high levels if an advlt 'stings' me it either means death or half hit points. Even with power armor. I agree with OP, nasty buggers. I think you need higher agility to have a chance at 'em with SMGs or any gun for that matter.

Yep, me too. They're like weak Deatchlaws that are impossible to hit without V.A.T.S. and can poison you. Boone can kill them left and right, though. I make it a point to wipe out their giant paper hives whenever I find them.

Ummmm....doesn't anyone move tactically, sneak to a vantage point, shoot them in the wings to drop them, and then repeat for the next one?

I don't think I've had a problem with them since level 8....

Silenced sniper's rifle, or the marksman carbine is the natural enemy of the cazadore....

The really good thing about cazadores, is the poison gland...big biccies....
