I have no desire to play Skyrim anymore

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:35 am

So after playing Skyrim for about 1 month, completing every guild and what seems hundreds of side quests, as well as the main quest, i have no desire whatsoever to play Skyrim again, it's just turned out to be boring. I have started new characters but i don't see the potential in playing through them anyway. I havn't touched the game in 3 weeks due to these problems aswell as horrible lagging and freezing problems. What should i do? Any ideas would be appreciated

I don't even understand why you ask. If you're bored don't play that's it.

tip- Level 30 is the endgame. Once your passed 30 everything seems so mundane and unneccessary

I'd recommend the Witcher 2, of course you need a PC. Just a warning, posts like yours (and mine actually) are very strong trollbait.

Oh and if you are a console gamer, Saints Row the 3rd and Skyrim make an excellent cheese and wine so to speak.

I feel the same way you do although to a much lesser extent. I found myself dying to be immersed in a strong and gripping story amd picked up The Witcher 2 recently when steam had it crazy low priced. Excellent and refreshingly difficult game.

if you did all that in a month then your playing way too much in a day...you should go play life outside, there's infinite quests out there ;)

Play something else and hope you get the desire to play it again. I've done the same thing. I just started Assassin's Creed Revelations and plan on getting Need For Speed the Run. Those will keep me busy for a couple of months and MAYBE by then I'll get the urge to play Skyrim again.

It's a shame really. I'm almost tempted to go back and play Oblivion again, and I thought that was the worst of TES until now.

I got bored of it a while ago too. Might give it to a friend or something in exchange for one of his games. I have literally no urge to play Skyrim any more.

I'm the opposite. I gave up on it after less than a week, but recently decided to give it another go, now that the modders are starting to make progress.

Is Assassin's Creed: Revelations any good?

I would say no, it is AC2 with a bunch of unnecessary additions, and because of these additions half the plot feels like a tutorial.

No offence, but that sounds like a good deal to me. A months entertainment for £30. That's all i'm expecting out of it too. Gunna complete the game as best i can and then put down until some quest mods are released.

It's not as good as Assassin's Creed 2. That was the best in the series so far. My advice is to get Assassin's Creed 2, you can get that for a steal right now. If you like it than get Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, which is the next in line, and then get Assassin's Creed Revelations.

Revelations isn't a bad game, just not as good as Assassin's Creed 2. The story line wil be more understandable if you play Assassin's Creed 2 first. Even though it's the second game in the series you'll still get an idea of what the game is about.

I'd recommend the Witcher 2
Thanks for the lulz. I haven't laughed this hard in a month.

While I agree the Witcher 2 is a pretty good game, it isn't even remotely a contender to Skyrim.

He asked for an alternative, so I supplied one. I personally am enjoying it much more because, despite geralt's rather lackluster voice acting, I can become attached to the characters. In Skyrim I am a blank slate, which is a trend that I used to appreciate but I now believe is overused.

I have not ridiculed Skyrim or you in anyway shape or form and was not even comparing the two games, because just like human beings and primates are supposedly related, they are two very different beasts sprung from the same tree.

Oh wait I get it now, you were demonstrating my troll bait note. clever.

If you're not enjoying the game, play something else. You may or may not want to return to Skyrim later, but there's no point in doing something for fun if it's not fun for you.

Create a character who only discovers Riverwood and doesn't travel anywhere else. He shall stay at the Sleeping Giant Inn and he will chop wood daily until he has 10 million gold coins, given to him by Hod. He shall be an Elf called 'Wuud-a-Kutta' and will only eat potatoes and tomatoes. And drink ale.

Once I play all the guild quests and the main quest, I'll probably move on to another game as well. It's going to be a long time before that happens though the way it's looking now.

Forza, assassins creed, bf3, are we supposed to know what type of games you like. Sounds like it has to be an online shooter if you completed everything you can do in skyrim in a month and are now bored again.

Dude, one month of playing a game and hundreds of hours of gaming time is more than most games offer. You got your money's worth.

Wait for Kingdoms of Amalur. Until then, have you tried Dragon Knight Saga?

Anyway, a whole month. GTA IV gave me three hours before I gave up from boredom, yet that got 10/10 reviews.
