Have you ever tried to make a character that looks exactly l

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 4:48 am

This just struck me - how weird it must be to go 3p and see yourself on the screen. I always tend to make my characters the way I would like to look if I were that particular race, but it never occured to me to try to make my self...

Has anyone taken the time to do this? And if so, did you feel any different about that character?....

There is an Entourage episode where Johnny Drama is playing the Godfather and the character looks just like him. So I also made a version of Johnny Drama in that game, based on photos of him, it was quite funny. Also made a version of him for a poker game.

I've done that in Oblivion. Once I'm done with Aries in Skyrim, I'm going to make another character. A female, I MAY go for my looks. har har har :P

No. The Skyrim customization feature doesn't allow for me to create a character that's as ruggedly handsome as myself. The character would never have to fight. He'd be able to charm his way through every situation. Every time he walked into a ruin the Draugr would swoon like teenage girls at a Justin Beiber concert. It just wouldn't be fair.

I tried to make myself in Dragon Age: Origins, albeit unsuccessfully. It went so wrong that I actually laughed at the depiction I created.
But I will try this in Skyrim and report back. Although it won't be an easy thing to achieve by any means, a lot of tweaking will be involved, no doubt.

I will not think so, but have never though off how I would look as Khajiit:)

Woah, that is one good looking khajiit. I can never get a female khajiit to look right, they always end up looking like some rabid ferret.

Nope, I think it's odd, but to each his own.

This is one adorable looking Khajit!

I did try, but while my RL features are more Wood Elf - there's no option for blue eyes and I think the pointiness of the features are just too ... well, pointy. So I opted for a generic, unnaturally hawt, sturdy boned Breton female instead.

I would also have liked to be able to make the character a lot shorter. These are not complaints though - I just enjoy the immersiveness of being able to imagine myself really 'there' (which is relatively achievable in first person I guess)

You must have never seen Fish-Breath.

I'm not really sure who's character this is, but it's probably the best Argonian ever.

I tried and the result was pretty close to be honest, although the character looked a tad older than me IRL.

I remember the basic settings I used so I could probably do it again quickly.

I failed horribly at making the few males I have ran in Skyrim. I start with good intentions, but end up making them look more like the personality of the character I created them to be. I never model any of them after myself. Except for my male sniper characters in FO.

Besides, I usually roll a female character, so they are obviously not me.

Male characters...

Yah, usually one of them will end up looking like me

uhm...

didn't really happen in Skyrim though... my Nord is prolly the closest, but my other males are Dunmer and Orc, and I wasn't thinking about it when creating him. He got a few of my features but I wasn't trying for it.

ME2 my Adept looks almost mirror image...

Actually, I did create one that looked a lot like me ... so much so that I didn't want to play him.

Managed it perfectly in Oblivion. Not so easily in FallOut 3 and pretty close in Skyrim.

I`m starting a new game so i`ll spend the full two hours or more to get it an identical likeness.

Hints: use a mirror.

Is it weird? No it don`t feel weird, but it does look cool to see how you might`ve looked as a heroic warrior in a different world, although i don`t do 3rd person so I only look every now and them when changing armours.

p.s. Oh managed it perfectly in Mass effect, now that looked really cool in a futuristic setting.

Only problem is hair. the closest I can get is a skinhead without mods.

Why yes, I just set the preset slider for orcs to nr 2. That's what I look like IRL.

I try, but ultimately I end up frustrated and just scream: "[censored] it, I guess I'll just play a cross between John Candy and Ray Winston"
