Here's a nice "Buying A House" cheat. How to not spe

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 12:45 am

So here's a cool cheat. When buying a house from a steward, make sure you have enough money to buy it and you/the steward is near a dresser. It could even be a sack or something. You just have to be able to put stuff in it. When in dialogue, ask to but a house, then click "I'll take it." IMMEDIATELY after you press that, exit the conversation and run to that chest/sack/dresser and place ALL of your money in there. Make sure you save before dialougue in case it doesn't work, since you're too slow. If there is no chests near by, wait till the steward goes to his bedroom and place the gold in a wardrobe or something. This also works with buying accessories for your house, Living room, fireplace, etc. You're welcome!

I use xbox 360, it works on PS3, and it should on PC. Not sure though.

It's tougher to do it in Solitude since Falk Firebeard is the Greatest Steward Ever and never eats sleeps or abandons his post. I had to stand on the table.

Wormhole wooden bowl, free houses. What else I would want?! No more lockpicking doors!! No more money-less.

Next thing to find in this game: Rocket Launchers. really, I'm serious. Maybe a mod...

Heh, thanks! And yeah, lol. I just get so sick of trying to find 25,000 gold for my house in Solitude so I get the 25,000 and buy the house. After that I still have 25,000 gold to buy whatever I want. So now I have a house, and thousands of dollars in gold without spending a penny! This is using the cheat obviously.

There's a cupboard right behind him that is kinda tricky to do since you have to turn around real quick and get to. But yeah, I know what you mean. Had some trouble with him my first time!

Dude, start sprinting toward the NPC. He will stagger and step backward. Do that until he's in a good place, then... as you north americans says: "prrrrrofit"

At the rate a person makes money in this game I don't get why people would want to cheat. I own houses in the all the holds except Windhelm and still have tons of gold and I did it all legit. Just learn a craft, do lots of quests and avoid fast travelling so you can find all the hidden locations. Much more entertaining than standing on tables. ;)

I second this. Mercy VS Dragon ? No contest.

I dont like the idea of actually cheating the game with this odd glitch. It's kinda appealing, but if you're good at making potions and finding stuff to turn into potions, and you're good at killing things with nice weapons, you'll find you only ever spend gold to buy houses anyway..

But if you do happen to find a glitch that spawns Flamethrowers or Miniguns, do let me know. There's a certain skeever nest that's really pissing me off.

'f course. I'll let you know.

The only thing I cheated, I admit, was re-marrying to jenassa. She's the freaking best companion. Mainly in assassins outfit.

This just sounds so wrong :D

I already bought 4 of the 5 houses, but this sure will be useful on my next playtrough.

How can you re-marry? Can't you only get married once in a game?

I spent it on the upgrades. Only paid 11,000 for the house which is a better deal considering the fact that Proudspire kind of svcks.

Well, another tip to save lots of money and this is actually legit is this. Level pick pocketing high enough and then every time you train a skill with a trainer just steal your money back. Only works up to a point though because there's a limit of how much gold you can successfully steal from a person without being caught. Or so it seems anyway.

You can't remarry. Only via CHEAT, as it was already said.

Can be found a MOD of it on skyrimnexus.

Here's some tips on how to make tons of gold legit and fast with a bit of effort:

Enchanting - As soon as you get an item that has the Banish enchant (Sends Summoned Creatures back to Oblivion or something) just buy all the iron daggers you can find and all the filled petty soul gems you can find and enchant the daggers with this. You'll be rich in no time. Early on use Transfer Health or any other enchant that will nett a fat profit.

Alchemy - Buy or look up the recipe for Slow Poison. It uses cheap ingredients that are easy to find and sells for hundreds of gold each.

Of course, the higher your skill levels the better the results will be.

Yeah, you will eventually get to the point where you no longer need money- i.e., you have way more than you spend. This can be helpful early on, but enchanting is also an easy way to make lots of money fast, and helps to level your enchanting skill, to boot.
