Hey Bethesda, how about

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:51 am

You fix my f**cking game instead of patching minor issues that aren't really bothering us.

I cannot continue playing the main quest since it is now bugged and I cannot receive the next quest, I have spent too many hours in the rest of the world in this game and would like to finish up with the main quest. I emailed Bethesda about this over a month ago and they said they're aware of my issue and it will be fixed in the next patch. Well there's been two patches since then and nothing! So sick of this lack of support from the devs.

Really I should have to get used to having a broken game? THAT I CANNOT ACTUALLY FINISH, because THEY didn't test it enough and now don't really care whether it gets patched or not, A LOT of other playes on PC Xbox and PS3 have this exact issue.

But I guess we should all get used to it?

No I paid for a full game, every other developer who I have bought a game from in the past five years has given me continued support and released a game that didn't break after playing sixty hours; apparently Bethesda couldn't do this and now couldn't care less.

sadly this if you pay attention to their track record. but me thinks you should go to the Bugs/issuses section to get whatever you need to be addressed, Addressed.

Does anyone actually ever "finish" a TES game?

I'm not saying you don't have a problem.

You're alone on this one I am afraid, at least without my support, I have experienced not a single problem with this game.

I understand your frustration. You'll have to start a new game or load from an earlier save. Because Bethesda gives us the silent treatment. At least Bethesda does not blame their bugs on Windows like Obsidian does, which btw Fallout: New Vegas is still broken.

because of some bugs that make the game unplayable after your save file hits a certain size. lot of ps3 peeps are having this problem.

Yes since launch I haven't really experience any SUPERDUPER PROBLEMS especially since I used the LAA patch for all 3 patches released, the most recent brought back LAA so now I dont have to use the patchs anymore. in the 200 hours I've done Skyrim I've crashed about 9 times.

ups! this is a PS3 thread, I don't belong here lol.

Just to clarify, I'm a PC player, research this issue if you want, it's even mentioned on the main Skyrim wiki, it's a known issue and it should be fixed, I'm not restarting, I have put too much time into the game, they told me it would be patched, I just hope they do it.

Most games don't last more than 30 hours. So maybe that's why no other game has broken after 60.

There working on all glitches. patched twice since release and putting more out. It was like this with Oblivion too. Yes, Skyrim should have been released 1-2 months later for testing, but, with a game this big, glitches are bound to get through either way.

And while this may be true (of course large games will have bugs) I have never ever heard of a main quest just not advancing whatsoever before, this is a very serious issue and it should be the focus of a lot of their attention, they know the bug exists, they've had a lot of complaints, they've promised a patch and haven't delivered, it's ridiculous.

What's the point of posting comments like that, some people got lucky with Skyrim, some people didn't, just because your game hasn't had any major bugs, doesn't mean other players' games are bugless.

They'll probably fix the glitch, but that wont fix your save. You'll still have to restart. It might help if you specified what your glitch was.

I just uninstalled it and went back to oblivion. Eventually the modders will fix it.

My glitch is a 'A Cornered Rat' glitch, after completing 'Diplomatic Immunity' 'A Cornered Rat' won't activate when it should. This quest apparently has a lot of bugs for the people that it actually activates for as well, they should probably fix the large amounts of bugs assosciated with these two quests.

I've had several quests that had problems, so I know how you feel OP.

If you're on the PC, go to UESPWiki, to Skyrim, and type the name of the quest in the search block. It will give you some codes that you can type in the console and advance quests to the next level, or to show you finished it. You'll have to do some research to get to the exact wording, etc., but it sure helps getting rid of bad quests.

Good luck.

I've heard other players with this issue say that the console command to advance the main quest doesn't actually work here, the game is actually stuck at this point and advancing is impossible, I'll try it myself though. :)

My friend cant complete the mainquest either. Hes also on pc.

No-one can argue that it is Bethesda's mistake. Not only is a wrong to release a game that is buggen and not tested, but even if you could live with it, its still wrong that the main quest is unable to be finished.
