Hey Bethesda, how bout you add armorcloth dying...

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:34 pm

The armor variety in Skyrim is pathetic when compared to other modern actions RPGs. A good idea to make up for it would be to allow us to dye our armors/robes/clothes just like some other games (Diablo, Assassin's Creed etc).It Would really expand armor combining since for example you could match dwarven/elven with orcish/steel plate. Don't think it would be that difficult to add via a free update or at least in the next expansion...

This would be cool if done right. If done wrong all the alt colours will look like garbage

Soo... Armor dying like in Fable 3 ? Or:
- Manually picking ingredients
- Making dyes
- Appling on armour parts.

...

This would be the absolute apex of application. Wow, that alliteration popped outta the bushes.

It's an excellent idea, one which I hoped for since beforeSkyrim was released.

Would be awesome if they implemented it with such detail, but I'd be fine even if it was like Fable's system

Being able to combine more armor pieces without it looking weird would be nice. I′m with you on this idea. :)

I think this is kinda stupid, armor dying would look ridiculous and bad, armor should remain the way it is since you know, it fits the theme of the game and doesn't look silly.

There are quite a few examples of enamled armor in fiction. I rather like the idea and from all of the alt color mods I've stumbled over on Nexus so do others.

Unfortunately this is the sort of thing that has to be added from the very beginning. At this point it's impossible to do without rewriting the character-loading system from scratch, and redoing all the armor art from scratch as well.

This here is something like I would like to see, and I would like more toned down colors instead of the neon lime greens and hot flaming pinks and reds that Fable gave us.

It's great for getting your character to look more like your character allow their personality threw.
