Honest Hearts Trailers's up!

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 12:09 am

I was already looking forward to the DLC, but it really looks like a lot of extra effort has been put into it to feel unique. The rain looks great, and a brand new ammo type is a solid addition. Really looking forward to the various quests and choices available throughout the DLC campaign. I'm pumped!

I hope JE Sawyer does a write-up for the DLC after it's released, on his Obsidian blog. I really liked reading what Avellone wrote about Dead Money. Obviously, I'll only read it after I beat it. :)

Speaking of, this is from that blog. Read it and tell me it doesn't sound like Rod Serling introducing an episode of The Twilight Zone.

First off, Dead Money is a short story in the Fallout universe, pulp fiction style: it's a dime-store comic book (issue one in a limited series), an adventure story, a casino heist with a post-holocaust spin...

I lol'd.

Well, he was one of them. But I meant their type. Graham seems different. More educated, less impulsive.

Wasnt he with Caesor when he was captured and helped Caesor gain power.

So Graham was one of the founders of the leigion

By the way, am I the only one excited to see rain in Fallout for the first time in 14 years?

Wow! Finally the trailer is here. Zion looks beautiful, the trailer is really good. Graham is a loon, and tribal warfare! I'm so excited for this DLC now. Of course I have to wait until Sony fixes the PSN. :banghead:

There's only one thing I'd like to know:

Is there a level requirement/suggestion for Honest Hearts?

Probably, Gamebryo rain isn't that great. It's nice to see rain (which should have been in Fallout 3), but it's probably going to be the same type of rain seen in Morrowind and Oblivion. Rain that clips through roofs and walls.

I don't really care about clipping issues or if it's ugly, all I care about is that there is rain in the Fallout universe.
Hopefully it's not radiation rain though. <_<

One thing I notice about the trailer, is Graham does all the talking. Where is Daniel in the trailer?

Anyone seen the official screen shots from Bethesda's website. Whats up with the giant plant?

I better be able to go back there once I beat the dlc, it looks to good not to be able to. I will not be happy if I can go there and never come back.

Wouldn't rain be dangerous and radioactive in Fallout? Even after several hundred years?

EDIT: I think it would be cool if it's something we would need to avoid and take shelter from or risk taking damage or increased RAD exposure.

I don't think Obsidian is that cruel.

... Then again these are the guys who probably added the Orc caves to NWN 2 because they thought it would be funny.

It looks like it's just a Spore Plant from Fallout 2/NV with an increased scale.

I don't think Graham is as good as some of you seem to believe. Keep in mind that the reason he joined up with Caesar in the first place was probably because he thought he was doing God's work. Graham probably has a very twisted view of the world, and I wouldn't be so quick to say that he's a good guy just because he says he wants to save Zion. What's he saving it from exactly? There's nothing there but tribals and a Mormon missionary.
