Hooded Red Robes

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 2:04 pm

I'm looking for a set of Hooded Red Robes. They are in the game apparently and I haven't ever found a set. I just saw a set in a video and I though they looked pretty cool. So I wanted to ask if anyone knew were I could find a set? Maybe multiples.

And no, I don't mean Mythic Dawn robes. The robes I'm talking about are white, with red lining and a red hood.

~Thanks to anyone who can help.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Hooded_Red_Robes#Hooded_Red_Robes - UESP has it on the list

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8PF2_roPkc - This video shows the robe at 2:14

I have also read accounts of it being on the game guide.

Maybe they were never implemented and are only available through console? I've never seen them in 170 hours of gameplay.

That would be odd.. are there other cases of that happening? I have the PC version, but I mainly play on the PS3 so it would really be a letdown if it was only available via console codes or the Testing hall.

According to Ytube comments (highly reliable sources of info, I know) they are only available through console.

Ummmm....WTF! Where do you find grey, green, brown, and embellished?? Also, red. I've not seen those in almost two hundred hours. I only see blue or black sets. Where can I find the hooded versions too?

Lame if they aren't in-game. Why wouldn't they be? Future DLC? I'm mostly interested in embellished.

Hopes crushed. The coolest looking robes and they are only available with console commands. I hope they implement them normally eventually. Seems really pointless to have them in. I guess I will just stick to monk robes or something then, thanks.

Implemented on NPC's only is different then not being in the game what so ever.

Well there are a few clothes that I have only found in certain places. I can't remember the Pass's name but it has a south and north exit and a dragon wall. In one of the sections there is a doorway, closet, that has a lot of shoes I havn't been able to find anywhere else. These Include Pleated Shoes as well as some gauntlets. Ulfric wears these boots and gauntlets but they are labeled Ulfrics boots/ gloves. Also there are a few noble clothes here and there. I think if UESP lists the red robes in game then they MUST be somewhere that no one has explored yet or reported. UESP might have all clothing locations eventually. Some of the better looking robes are much harder to find. I do enjoy the mourners clothes, which is what Esbern wears at the Diplomatic Meeting. Overall the Tailor in Solitude doesn't sell all of them.

Bethesda Are trolls.
As always they taunt us by hiding the best looking stuff far from where anyone would go. :(
I think all clothing should have been for sale in Solitude really.

Seriously, and without killing anyone or having certain pickpocket perks there is no way to obtain the Tavern clothes, at least a certain vampire in Morthal provides the easiest source of them.

I miss Oblivions Skull of Corruption glitch :(

Embellished might be found in solitude, the green, brown, and red are supposedly only available with console codes, OR items in a set location that no one has discovered.

You can get a set of Tavern Clothes from a dead body in Liar's Retreat.

In opening topic he says "Not talking about the Mythic Dawn Robes" and he provides a youtube link to what they look like.

Yes, It's the first shop to the right, right before Bits and pieces, it's a clothes shop. I'v never gone their myself, but I hear it has a good amount of clothes. I forget the exact name of the shop though.
