how awkward were your teen years

I understand that you're in trouble when you're under 16 and have six with a perverted 67 year old man. Or well, the 67 year old is in trouble.
But when you're under 16 and have six with someone under 16, that can't be ilegal, or is it?

Well usually the guy would get in trouble.

I don't think anyone would take it to court or anything. I don't think it's illegal.

You do realize that the legal age is 16 in most of the U.S., right?

:P

It's 14 here. -_-

It can be illegal, and it is. In practice, it's unlikely to ever be brought to court, but it is still illegal and technically constitutes [censored], as both parties cannot legally give consent. It's somewhat of a grey area though, in terms of who to prosecute and blame, hence why it's so rarely brought to court. But, if there's clear evidence that one of the people was leading the other one on, then they generally will try and prosecute.

Of course, this is just in the UK.

EDIT: Why is that word that means 'forced six' censored...?

Hmm never thought that it actually could be illegal :P I'm gonna look up if it's ilegal here too.

The awkwardest thing about my teen years was believing that it got better when I grew up. What a crazy notion.

:lmao: Isn't that the truth. While becoming an advlt means we can do what we please within reason, it seems we no longer have the time to do any of it.

Work, work, work and then pay bills and work some more. Ahhh, yes...so much fun to be the responsible one. Where did that independence go anyway. Must have been a dream.

My teen years were...
Yeah. They were pretty hellish, actually. >.>
I wasn't interested in sports in a very sports-oriented high school, was a bookworm surrounded by people at a fourth-grade reading level, had absolutely no interest in relationships -or, for that matter, six- (actually, scratch that- I still don't), and I didn't drink, smoke, do drugs, or party.
In other words, I was a social oddity, and therefore a freak deserving of torment.
And none of the school staff cared enough to put a stop to it, even when approached with evidence of harrassment. As far as I'm aware, this is still the case.

Yeah, so. In short, it made me into a very, very bitter person.

(Lessened somewhat when I went off to college and discovered that, my god, there is sentient life on the planet after all.)

There is an restriction for people to have six before they're 16? Or am I understanding this wrong?

Theoretically, yes. In practice (reality if you wish), no.

This is not a subject matter I am willing to see a comedic side to. All my friends ask me to get a cell phone and I refuse, just to be different.

How angsty.

Personally, I love being a teenager.

I had a blast in High School, probably because I was ditching every other day :P

Middle School was just meh, I don't even remember it. And well, I wasn't a teen in Elementary School.

Why would you not have something just so you can be different? Do you think you're better than your friends?

What do you want us to applaud you or something? It's so funny hearing you say "I want to be different! I'm not like the others!".

Come on guys, let's leave him alone like he asked. Although I do think having no mobile phone is just plain stupid, not original.

If that's typical teenager stuff, I still am one :P
I am also boring, I have tried drugs, since weed is 'legal' anyway (years ago). I drink about 2 litres of beer a week. I don't smoke though, that's a big no-go for me.
And I go to parties whenever I can.

PM me and the drinks will be on me. A 20th is always a good time to party.
Oh I would, but
Spoiler
I don't drink
. Yes, I am quite boring to New Zealanders... I do appreciate the offer, however. That, and I'll be back in the US by my birthday...

It is? I consider it normal to lose your virginity when you're about 16 or something.
Most teens barely even know how to have six at sixten. I'm quite old fashioned, though; so I would much rather have it with someone I have a lifelong commitment with than some random classmate when I barely even know how to deal with high school life. Though I know people are led to believe they're ready at different ages.
You're just jealous. :P
Haha, jealous of what? My boyfriend is sitting right next to me. I could realistically just pounce him and have my way at any time, but I choose to wait. That, and I don't want to be arrested for [censored].

I'm not trying to be holier-than-thou, just so everyone knows, or derail the thread. I just honestly don't believe teenagers are ready to lose their virginity. Which age group has the highest (heard) levels of suicide, depression, self harm, eating disorders and the like? Teenagers. A lot of them (us) can't even handle being teenagers; why slop the demands of a sixual relationship (or casual six relationship) on top of that? So if anyone's got anything more to say, PM it or something so it doesn't pollute the thread, since we're all obviously going to have mixed opinions on the matter. All I was saying in the first place is that young advlts and teenagers shouldn't make virginity a shameful mark, nor should losing it be an ultimate goal. I think my inbox may be nearing full capacity, though...

In connection with what I was saying, no, I chose to not have relationships in my teenage years. It made it awkward, yet not awkward. I just read and played games while going to the mall occasionally. I figured being into sports would make things less awkward, so I went with that. I was homeschooled in my last two years of high school, and it was strange.

You weren't that short kid that picked fights with me all the time, were you? :P But yeah, there was this one weirdo back in high school that was on the wrestling team and regularly tried to pin me down in front of the buses after school. I ended up dragging him to my bus as he held onto my arm.

I have a cell but no one hardly ever calls me. And if it dose ring it's from A.) A company that want to sell me something (Thank you NIX) or B.) One of my buddies want to borrow money from me since I, unlike them, have any to spend.

That's cool, I support that viewpoint in theory and largely through necessity, but in practice I wouldn't be opposed to losing it in a drunken stupor with a girl I don't even know. :P 'cept I don't drink.
