how awkward were your teen years

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:24 pm

Mine where/are fine but before I turned 13 I had already it puberty so the two years before puberty where awkward mainly cause I stood over a foot taller than most people, had chin hairs, and had more leg hair than an ape.

By which you are conforming to non-conformist ideals. How about you stop worrying about being special and different, and just be yourself?

I worry about very few things and this topic of conversation is getting old quick so please, no more.

Hmm they weren't that bad. I recently turned 20, so I'm officialy out of my teen years.

It's completely normal to be a virgin in your teen years and even into your twenties. The weirdos are the ones who aren't, and I'm being dead serious.

It is? I consider it normal to lose your virginity when you're about 16 or something.

The past two years have been great. I don't think I'll ever experience the same things I went through again.

I'm 16 and I'm NOT a teenager. I downright refuse to be stereotyped, I do almost anything to be different andd break these stereotypes. I don't find many things awkward at all. I really hate the negative conotations associated with being this age.

Typical rebellious teenager. wink.gif

Indeed, haha.

It has been... Not so much awkward, just uneventful. It's getting better now that I'm going to university though. 19 is still teen, my teen years can still be saved. :P

17, so I'm still in them but everything has been fine. No acne, bullies or glasses. There's been a few fights though, but really, who hasn't got in a fight?

I had my share of ups and downs. The Bionicle collection, the LAN Parties, . . .

Those were the days... -_-

Those are just the upsides.

Really?

:stare:

People are ready at different ages, Either way is perfectly natural.
Unless its rediculously young.

As for me 12-14 -- fat and zitty, played DnD over lunch and after school with some fat and zitty friends. Didnt go out much, when I did it was to walk to my friends and play / paint warhammer. The most exercise I got was walking to aformentioned friends or to the fridge. Or to school. Didnt have the balls to talk to girls, even when forced to sit between two in class (my schools seating plan was boy girl boy girl). Awkward Rating 10/10.

15-19 -- Lost all the weight and zits at 15, social life boomed, got on the school rugby team (at my coachs insistence after a match of Rugby in P.E.) which also eventually led me to developing an interest in other sports, ended up on the school football team as a goal keeper. Was also on the swimming team (even in my fat years I was a great swimmer, my mums best friend was a life guard so I'd been swimming all my life) for a short time until they disbanded it due to lack of other school swiming teams to compete with. Got my first girlfriend, spent every night after school out with friends until about 10-11pm, most weekends camping parties/house parties/ parties. Awkward rating -- 1/10

Im about 50/50 then..

I was very awkward. So shy and self-consious. It was like I was torturing myself. I look back on so many missed opportunities. I was a really good looking kid, one of the hottest girls in school hit on me one day, but I was convinced she was making fun so I kinda just stood there like an idiot. I could bring up a bunch of other mistakes like that, but its too depressing.

At 17, it's pretty good. I found out what my real group of friends is about a year ago, as opposed to who I THOUGHT they were.

im 18 so i dunno if i get to do this but, what the hell.

Mine were.... ok

it got a lot better in the last year. I became less bothered about games and got out and socialised more. Met old friends on the internet even. But from like 13-16 was really just from what i can remember, a mixture of boring school and playing games. Which was really sad and stupid of me. I never went to big parties, never got wasted properly until last year. I was a crap teenager. Waaaay too tame. I would have loved to have been a skins kid like my best friend was.

Alot of the cast members where there, I dont remember seeing Nick Holt (tony) though.

I use to be a long-haired, peace loving, carefree person (who also wore Hawaiian shirts all the time...) in my teenage years. When I became 19 it came as a shock to everyone, who hadn't seen me in a over a year or so, when they saw me with a regular white t-shirt and short hair... they'd remark with "What the hell happened to you??!" to which I replied "I got a job..." Then tears where shed as I wept on their shoulder.

I briefly met the one who played Michelle but I've never thought she was hot or very talented so it was a world resounding meh for me. But the rest? *druels*

Kayla (Effy) Gets double *druels*

Why is it weird, exactly?

I dont know if you can call my teen years awkward, but I spent most of them in front of a computer monitor. With the exception of having a girlfriend for a while. I swam for 2 times a week for 3 years, followed by hitting the weights and training martial arts for a year. Neven gone to any parties and I rarely see people outside of school. Although thats my own choice. Nowadays I dont have a girlfriend, nor do I practice any sports or phyical activities, except for walking to the kitchen to refill my coffeecup. And I predict that that is the way I will spend the rest of my teen years (ie about a year). And I would lie if I said that I wanted anything else.

You're just jealous. :P

I'm quite happy with mine though thank you.

Also, speaking of awkward teenage years. You wanna know what's really awkward? Telling a then good friend that you're gay and them freaking out about it, then being forced to be in the same room because of a class and having to talk to each other. Especially when he didn't keep it a secret and told his whole family.

That was awkward. And no, I'm not trying to one-up anyone. This all actually happened.

Not very :shrug

I had my group of friends
no bullies (people tend to leave you alone when you're bigger then them)
no messy relationships
no going to parties and getting drunk and crap (never was interested in that)

hit college at 17 and more of the same

got along with my class
had my group of friends
no bullies
no messy relationships

I'm 15 years old, so I still plenty of time as a teenager left. So far, I am a shy and quiet person who doesn't fit in at school and has few friends. My life is boring and I'm afraid to ask a girl out. I have insomnia and I never leave the house to go see my friends(I don't have any). I'm not overweight(never have been) and I don't have acne(never had it), but I'm short. I'm a 15 year old male who is only 5' 1/2". I'm not ugly, I'm just shy, and short.
