Waiting for Gears of War 3. That will hold me over until 11.11.11 then my social life will no longer exist.

FO3 had Jericho, Charon, the BoS chick, and Fawkes. I'm probably missing a few others.

Oblivion had Mazoga, the Jermanes, an assassin guy, and tons of other characters. There are threads where people talk about getting upwards of 20 people following them.

At the moment, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is doing a pretty good job of keeping my mind off the wait for Skyrim.

Then Gears of War 3. Then Batman: Arkham City. Then possibly Dark Souls (if they add, you know, checkpoints). Then I have 9 days with Uncharted 3 before Skyrim lays waste to all.

And when I'm not doing those things, I'll be working.

For one, I'm writing several pieces of fanfic/backstories on various minor Skyrim characters of mine and posting it on my blog,
http://skyrimelderscrollsfanfiction.blogspot.com/ . As a side note this blog is also where I'll be posting my main character's adventures in Skyrim a couple of months after release, in which my minor characters play a supporting role.

So, I'd suggest taking a look at my blog every once and a while to help pass the time, lol.

So, grab a mug of ale or whatever tavern drink you like, a leg of mutton, and head on down to my blog :foodndrink:

That sounds great. I'll take a look. I love fan fiction!

OK. With only around 72 days left until Skyrim releases, how are you going to cope?

I want to know how you pass time, do you just try to forget about it, ad be surprised when you realize it'll release in a week?

I generally try to do the above ^^^

Also, what activities or hobbies help pass the time?

Beer.

Lots of beer.

Im thinking of getting Dead Island and Dead Space 2 to keep me occupied till Skyrim.

Dead Island reminds me of Skyrim alot too,first-person melee combat with leveling up and skills and sort of open-world,just with Zombies xD

Other games, and visiting the forums. Time goes pretty quick on these forums. It's fun to have (civil) debates and discussions about things, to get started on modding ideas, and to help people that have questions.

If Bioware and Bethesda married, took the best of both sides and had a baby it would be the superman of babies. Just saying.

And what I do until Skyrim? You mean other than lurking in the forums while keeping an eye on my countdown app on my desktop? Ehm...crap, have no social life whatsoever to keep me busy so...hogging my photocamera and using the stress of finding a photography internship for school as a distraction.
So far, not working though.

I think if Rockstar had a one night stand with Bethesda....Bethesda would have the greatest Post-Apocalypse RPG BABY game ever created by man-kind

And Halo.

Just finished The Infernal City. While waiting for The Lord of Souls, i'm reading Halo: The Cryptum. Infernal City was pretty good. Hoping they make a few references to it in Skyrim.

Minecraft 1.8 is about out. I also am going to try to survive the zombie apocalypse... Thrice. (Have two humans vs zombies games this quarter, and I'll have Dead Island by my next paycheck.)

72 days? My countdown must be off on my phone, it says 65 days.

Please warp time again and make it 7 days! :D

I'm playing some Daggerfall and working on a 32 level megawad for Doom 2... plus I watch an episode of Star Trek now and then... oh and also doing some art with the olde pencils..

Go back to school. It's already September, bro!
If it has to be elderscrolls related, I'll probably be looking for the TES novels, in the meantime.
