How to cope untill Skyrim

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:40 am

OK. With only around 72 days left until Skyrim releases, how are you going to cope?

I want to know how you pass time, do you just try to forget about it, ad be surprised when you realize it'll release in a week?

I generally try to do the above ^^^

Also, what activities or hobbies help pass the time?

I started playing Morrowind again the other day, that should hopefully keep me busy until Skyrim is released.

I'm playing Oblivion with a bunch of mods installed. Things like OOO, Enhanced Economy, and Oblivion XP to make it more challenging.

Plenty of other games coming out that entertain me; Dead island, Battlefield 3, Rage, Batman: Arkham City, Atelier Totori, Dark Souls.

So I wont be short on games. And there are plenty of books to read and anime to watch.

I cry every day, sit around staring at walls, and mindlessly click on forum topics... :(

Oh how I wish Uni could come earlier...

For one, I'm writing several pieces of fanfic/backstories on various minor Skyrim characters of mine and posting it on my blog,
http://skyrimelderscrollsfanfiction.blogspot.com/ . As a side note this blog is also where I'll be posting my main character's adventures in Skyrim a couple of months after release, in which my minor characters play a supporting role.

So, I'd suggest taking a look at my blog every once and a while to help pass the time, lol.

So, grab a mug of ale or whatever tavern drink you like, a leg of mutton, and head on down to my blog :foodndrink:

Until Skyrim comes out, I've been and will be playing *other games as well as lurking these forums to scratch my gaming itch. Got other stuff I need to do as well, so hopefully the time will fly...

HOnestly I try not to think about Skyrim too much, unless I'm actually in these forums! I'll start going crazy if I think about 11/11/11 too much. I cope by playing Oblivion, but I would be playing Oblivion even if there was no Skyrim so.. :whistling:

72 days? My countdown must be off on my phone, it says 65 days.

I play Oblivion and Morrowind, and scour the internet for new information... *sigh*

Same here. I wish Dark Souls was out sooner - only a month with it before Skyrim comes out may not be enough time.

I currently have 5 separate installs of Oblivion, each modded in a unique way. A few of them are The Middle-Earth Roleplaying Project, Nehrim, and a heavily modded (over 176 mods) version that frequently crashes, which I am currently trying to reconstruct from new with Wrye Bash. I've also been using Team Viewer to help my friends mod Oblivion, like installing a low-res texture pack and modifying the Oblivion.ini so my friend can play it without a dedicated graphics card.
