About two hours or so, mostly because i couldn't find the entrance. Had to walk around the whole city lol.

Usually I make it to the strip in around 12 hours but sometimes I'll sneak north of Sloan and get there in 2 hours.

Don't think Freeside counts, does it? I'm 20 hours in and still have not entered the Vegas Strip. I intended to a little earlier in the game; doesn't help that I now find myself enmeshed in multiple quests that start in Freeside. For now, Benny can wait.

Also, I'm only at the end of level 12 and am not sure if that's slower than average for most other players.

I have played 40 hours and am just about to leave Novac. Havent been to the Strip yet.

I'm still in Primm.

And man, it got BORING all of a sudden. I hate it when you have a whole string of quests in a row that are just running back and forth talking to people.

Oh, not to long, 5 hours at most? Might have been shorter but I kept on grabbing all the treasure I could find for caps.

Idk how many hours I am at but I'm level 21 almost 22 andstill haven't gone into the strip. I went into freeside last night only to do some side quest which has taken up the majority of my time. It's just a huge game with so much to see/do I never played fallout until this game. Going to try Fallout 3 if I ever finish this one lol.

for me it took like 3hrs.i did quests what i got from the king and finally i got acces to strip

When talking to all those people, is it just fetch quests, or do you have the option to seed dissent and or alliance & betrayal with your dialogs?

I took my time and did the quests for the towns on the way when I got to the strip and got my pent house, A nice place to crash, I decided from then on to complete sidequests and wander once I did a good deal of that I went and finished it up.

I haven't. And I'm on my third restart (out of indecision). Just have been doing odd jobs for Crimson Caravan and NCR, recruited Cass, and now exploring Repconn on our way back north. The rest of the time was random exploration and reloading from frustrating situations.

15 minutes was my quickest. Kill an NCR, use his outfit to go into the monorail in camp McCarren to the strip.

Still haven't made it there after 28 hours. I'm starting to consider that if I do too many side quests I'll have nothing to do once I actually get to the strip and want to head out again; and I'll have already explored a lot of locations without some cool gear that you get from quests on the strip. So I have a few more SQ's then I think I'll venture into Freeside. That should take me another 15+ hours...

First playthrough was about 25ish hours, now I get their in 2-3.

Took me about 4 hours to get to Vegas. I lucked out and found a Stealth boy in a safe in town, decided not to do the tutorial from Sunny. Ignored Vivtor when he told me to turn back at the dirt path North of town. Used Stealth boy, and before I knew it I was near western Vegas. First thing I did was go to Atomic Wrangler change caps for chips, walked to a slot machine hit max bet and rolled for three oranges, getting 36000 caps. I was level 4 when that happened. Saved right there, and started a new character. I didn't want to ruin my first playthrough with stupid, blind luck.
My new character, this time I poured SPECIAL points into STR, PER, and took 4 points from luck, putting into agility.
My new guy is having a much more rough time of it. This time I'm following the traditional 'suggested' route through Primm, Novac, etc.
20 hours in with new guy and still not there. Luck seems to play huge role, go figure.

My first thing i did was head to the strip. My plan was to break the 3 casinos and use all that money for implants. It worked rather well. I was a lvl.2 with all implants.
