How long were you tricked for?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 1:31 am

oops...Title is supposed to read "Madman" not "Madmad"...lol

So how long did old Sheogorath have you shooting the Wabbajack at the Antronachs for? He got me for a good 5 minutes atleast..lol

Be honest, I wont judge.

No judging or calling me an idiot because "You are nowhere near as smart as me and I didnt even shoot the Antronachs once, just went straight for the Dwarven armored guys because I knew better..." I know there are people out there who would post a comment like this because they think they are better than everyone else...Dont bother...

And I KNOW Im not the only person who was fooled by this for a few minuites...lol

after blasting each atronach a couple times to no effect i pretty much figured that was the wrong target (knowing sheagorath). that section went the fastest for me. less than a minute total.

I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing, so I was sneaking all the way to that arena and when I finally got there one of them must have already died. There was just one standing there which I shot a few times and then started pegging the guys in armor.

I ended up having to restart because a dragon decided to attack me while doing my third part of the quest and the wabbajack didnt harm it.

After I realized that the Frost and Fire atronachs were doing barely any damage to each other, I got bored and shot everything else. I'm not clever; I'm easily distracted.

I shot the Atronachs for ages, left and did the Nightmare section, then came back after looking at UESP (GUILT) and shot the dudes.

A good 10 minutes at least. He got me good, I was thinking that maybe I wasn't switching mine fast enough or something. Around 5 minutes of messing with the atronachs and I reloaded in case it was bugged and so I could hear what he tells you at the beginning again.

Pretty clever puzzle, but I got it eventually.

I shot the atronachs one each, then looked up and hit the guys in armor watching. I just like shooting everybody with that thing. :whistling:

Let's just say I was very liberal with my application of the wabbajack, so it didn't take too long.

Ironically, I went for the armored guys across the pit first but apparently missed. Then spent 10 minutes with the atronachs before trying the armored guys again. Ah well.

Haha, Im glad people are comming fourth and admitting they were tricked by the silly Sheogorath!

One reason it took so long for me is because close to first getting to the arena, (which btw there is already an arena in the game...Arena mod anyone?) I shot the middle guy on the platform and it didnt do anything, so I figured, oh, thats obviously not right...So I continued shooting the Antronachs and was getting pretty annoyed and just randomly shot the dude on the right and, voila! lol. But yea, I guess I should have known..Being Sheogorath and all...

Ha! That definately sounds like quite the bug! Did you have patch 1.2 at the time I wonder? lol

Thats kinda how it happened for me, except replace bored with angered..lol

p.s. Isnt the Wabbajack great fun! Ive always enjoyed using it! lol

At least five minutes. Then I just started firing randomly, not even noticing the guys seated across the arena.

10 minutes. Would have been much faster if any of the orcs could be changed. Got bored shot the one in the middle, he didnt transform, figured it did nothing, only got bored again and shot the one on the side.

Yeah, the guy in the middle not changing is what did it for me (or didnt do it for that matter..lol)

The worst thing is that I first tried to shoot the guys next to him, then the atronachs, and later I shot him himself. Ugh.

I probably shot at the atronach 100 times. My thinking was that he's trying to drive you mad by making you do it so many times......ah well.

Bingo bango. Got it the first try.

Believe me I learned that the hard way from some mages in a cave. 3 fire, 2 storm and a frost atronach all coming at you right after you save and didnt notice them all thanks to the dodgey camera focuses the mind somewhat. One of the mages got cockey and ran up close with a ward spell active and ran straight in to my swing arc of my greatsword which I had just perked with sweep. One atronach vanished behind him and I thought "hold on a jiffy, .....................AHA!".

So when I got to Sheo I was already accustomed to knocking of the handlers first.

On my first time through the game I didnt see the atronachs and shot the 3 guys instantly, on the second time through I saw the atronachs and had forgotton how I had done it the first time and sat there shooting them for a minute or two.

I shot the atronachs for around five minutes, then I kept shooting at the one that was left after it killed its buddy. I went out and did the rest of the areas, came back shot at it again, then got bored and decided to shoot the people. I got lucky on my first shot, but that didn't stop me from raging at Sheogorath.
