How many lockpicks do you have? : V - Skyrim

Over 300. I have no perks in lockpicking and I pick almost every lock I see for stuff. I have never bought a lockpick in this game, not a one. Why does every NPC carry lockpicks? almost all of them, id say 98% even the "good" ones...Very odd imo.

I have more than I need (120+?).

At first, I'd buy them from merchants if they had them, or it was a way to give merchants money to use toward buying my alchemy potions from me, but now I just pick them up while dungeon raiding and my total seems to get higher and higher. There just aren't enough master locks to keep my lockpick total in check. If I happen to break 1 lockpick in a dungeon, I'll end up picking up 2 in loot.

I have around 200 at level 45. I bought a few in the early game. But once I realized how often you find them in NPC pockets I stopped buying them altogether. Just pickpocket them all. And you'll find some in chests and drawers, but I found most of mine in folks' pockets.

99+, I bought a few early in the game since I was not finding as many and kept breaking them. Then around level 15-20, I had more than needed.

400 or so I think. Thinking of finding a mod that adds weight to them or limits the amount to a more realistic number.

+400. Never bought one. My lock picking skill is somewhere near 98 now and only by opening locks. I love the new lock picking mechanism and I love to pick master locks. It is really fun and a fiddling job. One can actually get better at it through a lot of practise. It is very rewarding even when I open a master chest and find like only 10 gold in it. It still makes me happy. I had no fun with the locks in Oblivion.

I never really have enough lockpicks when I need them. The most I have is about 50 something lockpicks. But I recently got my hands on the skeleton key, so I guess that leaves me with one?

Never more than 20 I suppose. I end up breaking too many because I'm too impatient for this minigame. I liked the Oblivion one better.

I have never bought a lockpick in 5 characters and 400+ hours. My level 46 Dark Elf has 80 odd right now. One of my characters did run out once but I can't remember which one.
