The number of the DEVIL !

I usually find myself with about 200 by level 15. Wouldn't mind selling them at a profitable price though.

hmm interesting cant say i check merchants too often for picks but the ragged flaggon seems to have only meesly amounts haha, anyway thats a lot of damn picks youve got, if i was you i would throw them all in the basemant of your house wait until the basemant is full then either Fus-do-rah them everywhere of jump into them haha.

actually even better, use a scroll of blizzard :D

I have over 2,000. I keep buying them even though I don't need them. Fallout 3 and new Vegas taught me well to pick those type of locks.

I buy and loot them all every time. Well over 1500. I don't know why I keep them as I still have not returned the skeleton key.

If you have the perk where lockpicks don't break you'll only need 1.

Lockpicks didn't weigh anything in Oblivion either.

NOTHING irritates me more than people complaining about "Removed" features that weren't there in the first place, "Missing" features that are clear and present, "Added" annoyances that have always been around, "Changed" features that worked the same in the past, and "Broken" qualities that have never worked.

I have 300 or something. Never bought one, all found as loot in containers or corpses of former bandits.

107 on my lvl 29 warrior, I usually only keep about 50 of them, it's enough. Even on a bad day.

True, but lockpicks did have weight in Morrowind, and arrows had weight in both Morrowind and Oblivion.

84 now, level 60. I break a lot, and have no lockpicking perks. Burned like 40ish this weekend trying to get into a master locked chest, got in eventually.

In Morrowind just about anything had weight.

Gold and some notes didn't, despite some people's statements to the contrary.

Before I had the "Unbreakable" perk, I carried well over 1000, but I think they are far too common as loot. I say that because I got every single one of my 1000+ lockpicks from loot only, never having to buy a single one. (Unless someone just plain svcks at lockpicking and breaks 10-15 on each and every lock, I can't think of any reason to buy them.) It got to the point where I wasn't even picking them up. Of course, I don't even pick up gold if it's less than 50 pcs. anymore. Now, I only carry one lockpick.

I only have like 80 or so at level 37. For some reason, I just don't find very many. I don't buy any either, though. I've still got the Skeleton key as I figure that will be one of the very last quests I finish.
