"Honey, coming to bed?"

"Just wait a second! Someone is *WRONG* on the Internet!"

The initial joke wasn't too funny, but THIS is gold. So many people are so uptight on these forums. And people call me crabby. :ermm:

On the internet we generally include a smiley if we want people to recognize that what we have written is meant to be humorous. Nothing in your post suggested that you were attempting to make a joke.

Most normal people would agree that it is not funny to give people intentionally false information.

I thought it was funny. It was obvious he was joking.

Well in fairness if english isn't your main language you do kind of get a free pass but:
1. If you are going to bandy about words like "ironic" and "sarcastic" you should really take the time to look up what they mean.
and
2. There was nothing unreasonable about the OP - he/she didn't know so they posted a perfectly acceptable question. Someone else made an uncalled-for and snarky reply for no other reason it seems than their own edification. Are you saying you have never wondered how to do something that to someone else was obvious?

I would rather be thought a fool for asking a question than be an idiot for not.

Since it's already been answered, and people are unable to not be immature and derail the thread with false information and bickering, this is better left closed.
